Day 4 began with a scenic drive around the mountain.
We drove all through a little town called Strawberry and I probably would’ve really enjoyed it had I not been stuck in the very back of my brother’s Subaru and in need of a bathroom. Badly!
My brother also managed to hit just about every rock and bump possible so……it wasn’t my favorite ride ever if you know what I mean.
We DID see a big herd of antelope just chillin in the wild which was pretty cool. Still didn’t make up for the fact that my bladder is the size of a pea and I REALLY had to go!
Once we got back to the cabin and I calmed myself down ๐ we took the kids for a short little hike over at Aspen Mirror lake.
It is so gorgeous over there and is literally right next to Duck Creek.
Someone had tied a big, humongous swing onto a tree over there and the kids had fun swinging around it…
Until Joe about had an anxiety attack because it was too close to the creek and right off of a little cliff and made them stop.

The rest of the evening was spent around the kitchen table, working on puzzles, playing cards, reading……
…and typing more of my Grandpa’s letters.
My grandpa used to always say that Southern Utah was “God’s Country” and I must say that being able to type some of his letters up here has been pretty awesome.
