On day 2 of our Utah trip we had our annual Lamoreaux family reunion up at the cabin.
My dad and his 2 brothers. |
These reunions have become such a highlight for us.
My aunts and uncles and alllll my cousins come up and we barbecue and visit. It’s so fun to get together with everyone since my side of the family all lives in Arizona.
Joe and Adam were on grilling duty…
Everyone brings sides and salads and hot dang, it becomes the best pot luck on this side of the Colorado River. ๐
{Note to self: Make a family cookbook with everyone’s yummy recipes when I’m finally done typing my Grandpa’s letters.}
My cousin brought up his Razor and ATV so we tooled around in the mountains for a bit…
I’ll never get sick of the views up here.
๐๐๐
Since typing up my Grandpa’s WWII letters, I’ve sorta become obsessed with our family history.
I thought it would be fun to come up with a little
Lamoreaux Family Jeopardy game to play.
It was SO much fun to play with everyone!
I’m already looking forward to coming up with NEW questions for the game next year!
After everyone left that night, I couldn’t help but have one of my very favorite primary songs stuck in my head….
“God gave us families to help us become what He wants us to be…
This is how He shares His love, for the famโly is of God.”
I know strongly in my heart that when we’re all together, my Grandparents are there with us, smiling down on us.
So blessed to be able to create these memories with our family each year.
