* Friday morning I had a sidekick with me running errands…
We had a cleaning lady come {we were YEARS overdue!} and so we both had to beat it.
We ran some errands, dropped by Grandma’s and then treated ourselves to a Peppermint milkshake at Chick Fil-A.
{No, I didn’t really give him one.
The second one was for my mom.
But I was tempted, because I love him so 😝!}
* I spent the afternoon wrapping my first ever ‘Saran Wrap ball’ for a little party we were planning on Saturday night.
More details on this fun little gem coming later this week.
{You really need to add it to ALL your Christmas parties.}
* The kids were all busy Friday night so Joe and I snuck over to our FAVORITE Chinese food restaurant for dinner.
Does anyone else CRAVE Chinese food when it’s cold outside? This restaurant is the closest I’ve found to ‘back east’ Chinese food.
It’s totally legit and their egg drop soup is the bomb.
* Saturday was the boys’ first Hip Hop Competition of the season with their new Crew.
{And Caron’s first ever competition!!!}
They seriously ROCKED it and we were
OH SO PROUD of them!
The boys even got to meet one of their Hip Hop dancing idols…..
Dom! From the Elektro Botz.
* We had the whole ‘Crew’ back to our house afterwards for a little Christmas party.
They ate pizza, exchanged white elephant gifts and un-wrapped the big ‘ole, sticky, tricky Saran Wrap ball to find all of the goodies in side!
We love this sweet bunch!
The boys were pretty much on cloud 9 surrounded by all of these cute girls. So grateful for our ‘dance family’.
* Churchey-church on Sunday.
We went over to my parents house on Sunday night for a Lam Fam FHE + dessert.
My nephew Tyson who just recently returned from Barcelona, Spain, serving a 2 year mission for
told us all about his mission and the kids all got to ask him questions like:
“What should we do to prepare now to go on a mission?”
“What is Christmas like in Spain?”
“What happens if you have a missionary companion that you don’t get along with?”
It was tenderly perfect and I am so glad that my kids were able to hear Tyson testify of the blessings that come from serving a mission.
* Back at home the kids each opened up a Christmas book for us to read before bed. We are falling way behind with this tra-dish this year and so for the next 3 days, all 3 kids get to open up a book to get us back on schedule!
We were ALL so excited that this was one of the books that we got to read tonight.
It’s a family favorite.
If you LOVE Christmas books – – add this one to your list.

On tap for this week:
* Finish ALL Etsy orders that need to be shipped out!
I have been WAY busier than I expected to be this holiday season and I am OH SO grateful for the blessing it has been for our family. That said…I am looking forward to things slowing down just a tad and being able to focus on ALL things Christmas-ey.
* Address and send out our family Christmas card!
{I LOVE doing this! Writing the addresses onto envelopes of family and dear friends always warms my heart.
It’s always a good reminder of the wonderful people in our lives!}
* Begin wrapping presents!!!
{Who else LOVES wrapping presents?}
* Get neighbor gifts ready!
* The kids’ Christmas Dance Recital!!!!
* First time ever visit to the Botanical Gardens in Phoenix for their Lights and Luminaries.
{I LOVE luminaries. We used to have a neighborhood luminary every Christmas and everyone would set out their bags with candles in them and walk and carol up to the neighborhood pool area for hot chocolate and visiting. It’s one of my favorite Christmas memories as a kid.}

I love that your nephew was able to share his experiences in Spain! What a neat thing.
Oh and don’t get me going in chic-Fil-a, I literally could drink their sauce and why the heck don’t we have them here !!!!
