* First thing Friday morning, Cubby went to the salon. Doesn’t that sound so much fancier than ‘groomer’?๐
Doesn’t he look sharp?
I mean…look at these fresh butt feathers…
{I seriously love when he hangs out my car window when I’m driving. Best passenger EVER!}
* We headed home and got things ready for Joe’s Birthday while he was at work!!!
Just a few of his favorite things!
{The Corn Flakes are for his favorite Corn Flake cookies.
Try em. They’re delish!}
* Did you know my hubby is an identical twin?
True story.
We all met up for lunch at Liberty Market to celebrate!
Their Chilaquiles {add chicken} are the BOMB!!!
So are their burgers.
Joe and I split both and we were so stuffed afterwards we didn’t even eat dinner that night.
* Friday night was the elementary school’s annual Daddy Daughter Dance. London was SO thrilled that she got Joe ALL to herself on his birthday night.
It was an ‘Old Hollywood’ theme and so the two of them dressed up as Mary Poppins and Bert.
Can you even stand how cute?!?
I got to help serve refreshments at the dance and it was SO fun seeing all of the little girls and their dads together. Our PTO does SUCH a wonderful job with this event each year!
* Errands, chores and dance on Saturday.
Joe and I went out for a date on Saturday night to Rigatony’s. It was an hour and 15 minute wait and we were #hangry by the time we finally sat down!!!
Also to be noted…we both wanted to sit on the ‘soft’ seats and so we sat right next to each other for the entire dinner. Totally weird, right? Neither of us would budge and sit on the hard chair because we also wanted to people watch so we completely looked like that weird couple that does that.
{Jk jk jk if you and your hubs do this!๐}
The food was WELL worth the wait!
This place has some of the BEST Italian food around.
On the way home we jammed out to my Elton John station and I always forget how much I LOVE this song…
* Churchey-church on Sunday.
London forgot to wear shoes {how does that even happen?} and as an added bonus…she was wearing mismatched socks so that was awesome!
{After crying for a good solid 2 minutes when we pulled into the parking lot and she realized what she had done, I just told her to tell anyone who asked that it was
National Don’t Wear Any Shoes Day and to bug off! ๐}
Joe gave a talk in Sacrament meeting.
He did such a great job.
Speaking comes so naturally to him and I always love hearing his testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ.
* We had a family birthday dinner over at Joe’s parents house on Sunday night.
My FIL and BIL smoked the yummiest beef brisket in their smoker!!!
We are so fortunate to have our families live so close!
We love getting together with them!
Joe’s bro gave him 2 of his favorite things.
Peanut M&Ms and hand sanitizer.
If you haven’t heard the story about Joe rinsing his M&Ms a few years back….you have GOT to ask him about it the next time you see him.
Or me.
It’s a doozy!
