* I met one of my most favorite peeps for breakfast at The Farm House.
This place is probably my #1 for breakfast out.
Love Love Love it there!
* Got the oil changed in my car.
Why is it that they try to nickel and dime you on just about everything at those places?
I DREAD going there.
I DREAD going there.
* The kids had playdates at our house after school.
London had a little boy over who she has a massive crush on.
She insisted on wearing her Christmas dress and requested that I play the “Teen Beach Movie” soundtrack in the background while they played.
Oh. My.
My daughter is 4 going on 16.
* Date night Friday night HERE.
I seriously LOVE this place.
Joe claims that this was the exact spot, {sitting on these rockers} 11 years ago, where he fell in love with me. True story. The CB will always hold a special place in our hearts.
{Smile.}
We shopped at the new outlets afterwards and I was sorely disappointed.
They were a ginormous rip-off.
Not even sure how they can technically call them ‘outlets’ when their prices were still sky high.
* Saturday basketball game for the boys.
GRANT SHOT HIS FIRST BASKET EVER!
His face after realizing the shot went in? Priceless.
They had their 3rd straight win!
Grandma and Grandpa Lamoreaux came to cheer the boys on.
I think they might just be their lucky charms.
* Saturday night we had a pizza party/waterslide night
at Joe’s brother’s house.
Fun! Fun! Fun!
* Churchey-church on Sunday.
Our Young Womens lesson was on “Becoming a Righteous Wife and Mother” and THIS quote really touched me:
“My dear young women, with all my heart I urge you not to look to contemporary culture for your role models and mentors. Please look to your faithful mothers for a pattern to follow. Model yourselves after them, not after celebrities whose standards are not the Lord’s standards and whose values may not reflect an eternal perspective. Look to your mother. Learn from her strengths, her courage, and her faithfulness. Listen to her. She may not be a whiz at texting; she may not even have a Facebook page. But when it comes to matters of the heart and the things of the Lord, she has a wealth of knowledge. As you approach the time for marriage and young motherhood, she will be your greatest source of wisdom. No other person on earth loves you in the same way or is willing to sacrifice as much to encourage you and help you find hapiness – in this life and forever.” – Elder M. Russel Ballard
LOVE! LOVE LOVE!
And the BEST part of the whole lesson was that my cute adivsor had previously arranged for ALL of the mothers to write their daughters a heartfelt letter…including MY OWN mother!
There was not a dry eye in the room, while reading these letters. So. So. Special!
* We celebrated my mom and dad’s birthdays
with dinner at our house Sunday night.
All of the Lamoreaux Grandkids minus my cute nephew Ryan who is serving a mission in Spain. |
Dad, sis Tori, and Mom. Their birthdays are all within a week of each other. |
Joe and I are SO SO blessed to have our families all near us.
Getting together for Sunday dinners is SO great!
Blessed indeed!
xoxo
