This Weekend:

* Friday morning started off with a quick trip to Costco.

And when I say quick….you know it wasn’t really.

I have such a love/hate relationship with this place.

{The hate part stems from the fact that a) it’s ALWAYS busy and b) they switched from Coke to Pepsi.

* I dropped the kiddies back home and met up with some friends for lunch at Morenos.

We were celebrating one of my FAVORITE friends’ birthday and it’s ALWAYS a good decision to celebrate with mexican food, right?

* Afterwards, the kids and I saw the movie…

Captain Underpants.

A little cute? But mostly silly.

My kids LOVED it.

I’d be ok if I never saw it again.😂

* Friday night was spent watching the NBA Finals at our house with dear friends.

{BOO to the Cavs winning. Hoping the Warriors win it all tonight!}

Our friend wore this shirt over to our house….

…and it was too funny, not to post.

* Saturday morning Grant returned home from Scout Camp!!!

I am SO proud of this kid!

He was gone a total of 6 days and 5 nights – – it’s the longest he’s EVER been away from home.

My momma heart felt as though it might just burst when he called me in tears and homesick on day 3.

This kid endured to the end and had a blast.

I was sooo happy to have him back home!

When he called me homesick, I promised him that when he returned…we could go to dinner WHEREVER he wanted to on Saturday night.

He picked…..

Moreno’s {remember I just had it for lunch the day before?😜} and it was tasty as always. Their bean dip >>> better than everywhere else.

Fun Fact about us Coombs: we could eat mexican food pretty much every night of the week and not get sick of it.

I think it’s an Arizona thing.

So happy to have ALL of my schmoopies back together again.

* Churchey-church on Sunday.

I got to fill in for the primary pianist which I LOVE doing.

Cars got to dress up as a ‘ship builder’ for Nephi’s ship.

{They’re learning the song ‘Nephi’s Courage’}.

So fun!

Thankful for such awesome church leaders for my kiddos.

* I came home from church to the best suprise EVER on my doorstep….

They call this stuff ‘Crack Corn’ for good reason.

It’s SUPER addicting.

{Think – – puffed corn pops in a yummy carmel-y goodness.}

Made my afternoon.

* Sunday night we had Joe’s cute sister and her family over for dinner. We grilled steaks and I don’t mean to brag BUT….

my husband is a dang good griller.

Cute cousins playing in their pjs.

Doesn’t get better than that.
