Lifestyle Blog

This Weekend:

March 11, 2019 | Uncategorized

*My Friday started out at my least favorite place on the planet.
{I’ve recently just started calling it that.}
Tp, Paper Towels, Laundry Detergent and Fabric Softener = almost $100.  Sigh. Good thing I had my Polar Pop with me to keep my energy up.😂

{I’m also still bitter at the fact that Costco switched from Coke to Pepsi.}

* I swung by a place that I love a little too much afterwards.

You guys!!!
These cookies!!!!
They are DIVINE!!!!!

And don’t they make the cutest little birthday treats?

Their peanut butter cookie was heavenly.
Yup, that’s literally fresh pb OOZING out of it.

* I met two of my favorite friends for lunch afterwards.

We tried a new place called Tryst that just opened up out by us and it was YUMMY!
{Bonus: they serve breakfast all day long – my favorite!}

* I met London and her friend at the park after school.
I lasted about 10 minutes outside with them and then Cubby and I went and sat in the car.  It was COLD outside!
Like high 60 degrees cold!
{I’m a wimp!}

* Grant had a church Youth Conference Friday night so Joe and I took these two cuties on a family date night.

Locals: I forgot how much I love Teakwoods!!!

They have a Groupon right now and if you go before 6 pm you get all of their Happy Hour appetizer prices.

It was DEELISH and we had SO much food leftover.

* Joe and I watched the Gayle King // R. Kelly interview afterwards.

There are no words.

* Saturday we kicked it at home for most of the day.

I hadn’t been feeling so hot for most of the week so a day of doing nothing was just what we all needed.

* I typed up a boat load more of my Grandpa’s letters…
And the kids had friends over to play…

I love this sight of multiple shoes by our front door.
To me it means that friends are over and our kids are happy.

* Churchey-church on Sunday.
Aren’t these three so handsome?
In Relief Society we discussed President Eyring’s talk
Try, Try, Try

If you need a spiritual uplift, I do recommend reading it.

One of my favorite parts:

Many years ago, I was first counselor to a district president in the eastern United States. More than once, as we were driving to our little branches, he said to me, “Hal, when you meet someone, treat them as if they were in serious trouble, and you will be right more than half the time.” Not only was he right, but I have learned over the years that he was too low in his estimate. Today I wish to encourage you in the troubles you face…

So very true.
We just NEVER know what someone may be going through.

* Pot roast for Sunday dinner and snuggles with Cubby.

Joe thinks Cubby loves him most but he’s totally wrong.
