Yesterday I ventured out of the house for the first time since my surgery and we headed over to my sister’s house to celebrate my Mom’s birthday!

Tomorrow marks 2 WEEKS since my surgery and I have a post-op appointment with my doctor that I’m looking forward to. I’ve got a few questions that I need to ask her like:
Why does it still hurt to sit up straight
and
Why do I still feel quite a bit of pressure down below
and
Why am I still having probs going to the bathroom when I stopped taking my pain meds over a week ago?
I know, I know, it’s only been 2 weeks but I’m starting to get grouchy that I still don’t feel up to doing normal things.
I think I secretly like being busy…but don’t tell anyone else.
I wanna grocery shop again.
And run errands.
And bake.
And bend over.
And sit down without having to half lay down.
Ya know?
Anyhoo – – it was a good little outing for me last night to be with my family, outside of my own house.
The rest of our weekend was spent ubering our kids around town back and forth to their friends’ homes, pool parties, birthday parties, etc.
{I tried to sit shotgun while Joe ubered. It wasn’t pretty.}
Joe and I started binge watching…

Oh my gosh you guys!!!!!
Joe and I DIE LAUGHING at this show!!!
We cannot watch it fast enough.
{DAAVVVIIIIDDDDD is my favorite!}
I also started watching…
…on Netflix.
It’s a cute show!
Definitely not one that Joe would like…but when he’s gone, it’s a super cute little show for me to watch.
It also makes me want to vacation in the south ASAP.
So there you have it.
Our weekend in a nutshell…
Here’s to a new week!
P.S.
I have the very best friends around.
The random acts of kindness that have been shown to our family these past couple of weeks has made my heart want to BURST right open!
It really has.
It makes me excited to get back to my normal self to pay it forward to others now.

I loved Hart of Dixie, too bad it didn't last longer. I also liked Summer in Take Two, and that really didn't last!!
