* I got to run errands all by my very own self.
It was oh so nice!
Met up with a couple of my favorite peeps for lunch at Chilis.
{Those peeps just happen to be Carson and Grant’s school teachers.
They rock and we have so much fun gabbing together!}
P.S. Have you tried Chilis chicken enchilada soup?
It’s my new go-to fave.
Friday night my sis, the kids and I checked out the new waffle truck in town.
Oh. My. Goodness.
If you are local – – you MUST check this delicious-ness out.
We bought 3 to share: the Berry, the Nana and the Scoop.
They were HEAVENLY!
ALL of them.
Follow My Waffle Crush on Instagram or Facebook and they’ll post updates with where they’ll be all week, each week.
So. FUN! PERFECT dessert stop.
* We headed home and while Joe was at the movies with his bro, I caught up on the latest
Parenthood and Dateline.
{My 2 fave shows on TV}.
I also introduced my kids to Full House on Nick at Nite and you’d have thought my kids had STRUCK GOLD!
They LOVED it!!
{And really…who doesn’t? Uncle Jesse? Deej? Classic!}
* Saturday we all slept in past 9:00.
{Tuesday is going to be rough when the kidlets head back to school!}
I will say…..this was the FIRST Saturday in YEARS…that I did not have to plan or stress over something for Young Womens. It was a NICE change! {Smile}.
Did laundry. Vacuumed. Did more laundry. And organized my new calendar for the year.
* Saturday night was date night and we tried out a new spot.
It was a very swanky, ‘hipster’ type of atmosphere and we LOVED it!
{And not because we are SWANKY or HIPSTER by ANY means…!}
It was DEEEEE-LISH!
{Same owners as Culinary Dropout which we also, LOVE!}
We sat outside and it is FOR REALS in the PERFECT location of downtown Phoenix.
GREAT people watching as the locals were headed to the PHX Suns game.
If you go here – – make sure and try the Pretzel bites as an appetizer
and their Hot Chocolate cake for dessert!
* Churchey-Church on Sunday.
I played the piano in primary for the first time ever and it was a refreshing change, I must admit.
So fun to be in there with my kiddos!!
So fun to not have much responsiblity on my shoulders now…smile.
* I made my mom’s famous meatloaf for dinner and everyone gobbled it down.
{Note to self: Share that recipe with my readers soon!}
We went for a CHILLY {55 degrees!} family bike ride around the neighborhood and then stopped in at some of our very favorite friends’ house for dessert!
* Finished the weekend off by watching
Jimmy Fallon’s BEST OF LATE NIGHT 2 hour special.
Laughed our guts out.
Jimmy Fallon has some SERIOUS talent.
SUPER excited that he’s switching to the Tonight Show and going to be on so much earlier now!
