* Friday morning I met one of my dearest friends for breakfast at a new spot that just opened up right by our neighborhood.
Huge portions!
We both got the Eggs Benedict and it was DEE-lish!
{Would recommend!!}
* Afterwards, I ran some errands and spent the rest of the day back at home in my craft room working on custom orders.
I made the vinyl for these pots for a sweet friend who runs a pre-school. She wanted to give each of her teachers one of these on their first day back to school.
Isn’t that the sweetest?
* Friday night date night.
We met one of Joe’s favorite college roomates and his darling wife for dinner at Oregano’s.
The last time we saw them was 16 years ago and it’s as though these two had spent no time apart!
Made us wish we lived closer to them, we had SUCH a fun time laughing with them!!
* Saturday morning London and I woke up at 5 AM (true story!) to make it to downtown Gilbert for a 6 AM photoshoot for London’s dance group.
I must really love my daughter, huh?
๐๐๐
Needless to say, I took a 4 hour nap when we returned and spent the rest of the day at home with the a/c blasted.
{It’s been HOT, HOT, HOT here in AZ!)
* Churchey-church on Sunday.
The kids fought before church (typical) which meant that they had to give each other a full frontal hug and say they were sorry as well as ‘I love you‘ to the other person.
Aren’t Sunday mornings fun?
* After church I got to help out at our Bishop’s Youth Devotional and Dessert.
Such a great time and I can’t wait to share with you what it was all about!
* We rushed home, had dinner and then had all of the young single adults in our ward over for a little FHE and dessert.
Such a cute bunch of kids!
Joe’s calling in our ward is to be an advisor over these kids. (And when I say ‘kids’…they’re actually not kids at all. They’re 18 and older and have all gradutated from high school).
We had such a fun time with them.
We tried explaining to them that these are some of the BEST YEARS OF THEIR LIFE and to enjoy it to the fullest.
Some are getting ready to leave on missions.
Some are headed out of state to college.
Ahhhh….to be young again.
Brought back SO many memories for Joe and I.
