* Friday morning I stopped by my favorite local bakery.
I needed to drop off some goodies to a friend and let me tell you….
Their orange rolls are where it’s at!
If you are local – – you have GOT to check this place out.
Their sweet treats are worth every last calorie. Promise.
Random: Does anyone else’s back part of their mini van look like this? {Everyday?} And does anyone else’s kids purposely leave their shoes in your car? All. The. Time???
* Friday night was family night out for chinese food.
Egg drop soup with crunchy noodles has my heart always and forever.
This photo was taken .52 seconds before I firmly told my kids that ‘this is why dad and I go on dates alone.’
True story.
* Grant had a basketball game Friday night.
We won! and Grant shot his first 3 pointer of the season!
How lucky are we to have both sets of grandparents {+ ALL aunts and uncles} live nearby?! So fun to have Grandparents Lamoreaux + Grandparents Coombs + Aunt Tori come and cheer Grant on. I think they were his lucky charms.
* Saturday morning was spent in my craft room….working on Etsy orders. If you could see my work space you would die. SO messy. So very very messy.
* Saturday afternoon London and I dressed ourselves up and headed to the Nutcracker ballet – it’s my favorite tradition of the entire season.
I had Grant snap a quick pic before we left and to my surprise – – he got one that I actually like! Unintended, even! Because lets be honest….I have about 20 more that look something like this…
Awesome.
We met up with some of our dearest friends there and gosh, it was fun. The Nutcracker truly is a magical little show.
Dinner with the gang afterwards HERE – a Chandler staple.
* Sunday morning we busted out the Christmas books.
We gave this one to the kids last year and oh my gosh – – if you are local to AZ – – it is a must! So cute and surprisingly VERY informative!
Cars had a cough so he and I stayed home from church which meant I spent a good couple of hours addressing our Christmas cards.
I think I may be the only one on the planet who actually ENJOYS this process! I hand write all of the addresses and it always makes me count my blessings again and again as I write out each name. So grateful for so many wonderful people in our lives – – past and present.
* We headed over to my parents house for dinner.
Sunday dinners at my mom and dad’s house always taste better than my own.
My mom gathered the kids around and shared with them a new book she purchased.
You guys!
This book is darling and is all about service.
There’s a fun little activity to do with your kids throughout the season and I’m absolutely in love with the whole idea.
