* Friday morning we woke up to a whole lotta this…
Some of our cousins spent the night and it was non-stop action and fun.
* I spent most of the day working on new products for my Etsy shop {lots more to come soon,I promise!} and then our evening was spent just like this…
Joe and I took Grant to the temple for his very first time ever and my heart practically exploded with happiness.
{When a person turns 12 in our church they are able to go into part of our temple to do sacred work.}
It was an experience that I’ll never forget.
Also, I’m still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that I have a 12 year old.
Dinner afterwards to celebrate at Smashburger.
Yum!
Their peanut butter shake was heavenly.
* Saturday was a ‘get er done’ type of day.
I needed to clean up our messes before the mess of tearing down my Christmas decor happens.
We fit in some game time…
And then headed over to our friend’s house for a New Year’s Eve celebration.
Good food and lots of laughs with some of our dearest friends and their families.
Bonus: We rang in the New Year at 11 pm and were back home and in bed by midnight. Score!
* Churchey-church on Sunday.
Our new church time is 8:30 am.
It’s not my fave {not one bit!} but we do what we gotta do.
So many good things about today.
I heard one of my fave songs on the drive there…
Grant passed the Sacrament for the first time.
THIS song was performed as the special musical number in our Sacrament meeting and it’s also one of my faves.
I had the opportunity to go into Young Womens and talk to the girls ages 16-18 about our divine nature.
I love this bunch. It’s been 3 years since I’ve served in that organization and the girls who were once fresh little ‘Beehives’ are now getting ready to graduate!
* Nap time after church followed by a New Year’s roast beef dinner where we talked about our resolutions as a family and things that we want to do better this year.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
My kids still have 1 more week of Christmas break and I could not be more thrilled. No scheudles, sleeping in, staying up late…I have been savoring every last bit of it.
