* Friday morning I received the most thoughtful package in the mail from a lovely blog reader.
The fact that we’ve never met, yet this person decided to spread sunshine from her home in California to mine in Arizona, truly warmed my heart and made my day.
I practically cried reading her sweet note.
There are so many good people in this world!!!!
* London came home from school on Friday afternoon and was super excited to tell me that she was the only one in her Language Arts class who got a one hundred perecent on her essay.
I asked to see the essay from her backpack and BOY was I proud…
The fact that my child quoted M.C. Hammer makes me want to BURST with happiness. Sometimes, as parents….we DO get it right, I guess! ๐๐
* Friday night we surprised my sister with a little adults only SURPRISE birthday dinner at Charleston’s.
{Their honey butter crossaints are really TO DIE FOR!}
She turned 50!!! and one of her sons and his wife flew into town to surprise her!
It was so much fun!!
{We missed you Kirk and Adam!}
* Saturday morning we all slept in, ate breakfast around 11:30 am and worked on chores while blaring the new Taylor Swift album.
Joe and the boys are good sports to let London and I have it pretty much on repeat all day EVERY day lately.
{It’s seriously SO good though, huh?!}
* The boys and I took Cubby in to get his nails filed…
Why is he so handsome?!?
* Saturday afternoon Joe and I snuck away and saw…
Oh my gosh guys…YOU HAVE GOT TO GO AND SEE THIS!
It is the sweetest, cutest, funniest movie we have both seen in a LONG time.
Even my dad who falls asleep in every movie…stayed awake for it and loved it!
* Churchey-church on Sunday.
It was SO good to be back after being gone for a few weeks while recovering from my surgery.
We babysat my cousin’s darling dog on Sunday afternoon.
London introduced him to Taylor Swift on the ipad.
{I told you we were obsessed}.
He’s a Cavapoo and is he not the CUTEST?
* We spent Labor Day Monday over at Joe’s brothers house with the Coombs side of the family.
The kids were on cloud 9.
It was the perfect way to say goodbye to summer.
{Even though techincally summer is still in full effect in AZ til at least October. But you know what I mean๐}

Love, love, love your posts ~ now why didn't I think of sending you a sunshine basket? Maybe when you have your next surgery lol! Our granddaughter, Kelsie is so obsessed with Taylor Swift that I didn't think anyone could be more obsessed, but maybe London is about on the same level. Glad you are feeling better. Tried to call Ralph yesterday to tell him we are glad he made the quarter of a century club, but no answer on his cell phone. Keep on with the good posts ~ see ya later!
