While in Utah, our family decided to take advantage of the cooler temps and gorgeous views and set up camp.
Literally.
We went camping.
And we had a BLAST!
Memories were made and my kids are already talking about doing this again next year when we come back up.
We invited along my nephews and some of our friends and it’s safe to say – – this little adventure has been the highlight of our summer, so far.
Our first order of business once we found a good flat spot, was to set up our tent.
Our Columbia 4 Person Dome Tent made for a SUPER easy set-up – – even for my 7 year old!
We had it up in 10 minutes flat.
No joke.
Utah tends to get A LOT chillier than what we’re used to in AZ, so I was adimant about our kiddos having SUPER warm sleeping bags. And let’s be honest – – I’m sort of a wimp too – – so warmth was EXTRA important to me.
Our Coleman Silverton 250 Sleeping Bags were just about the BEST things ever!
These babies keep you warm all the way down to 15 degrees. They have extra thick insulation as well as an insulated draft tube to keep the cold air from coming in. {Because nothing is worse than getting into a freezing cold sleeping bag, right?!} Plus – – these sleeping bags are long enough for my TALL husband. They fit up to a 6 foot 2 inch body.
Our breakfast was super simple – – just as most things should be when you’re camping.
Cereal + Hot cocoa served up in our
{Our kids were on cloud 9 with this menu choice!!}
Luckily we had just the right amount of seating for everyone, thanks to our Quik Chair Heavy Duty folding chairs.
Wanna know what excited me MOST about this camping trip?
Our sweet new Stanley cooler.
If you’ve followed my blog for quite some time now, you KNOW that I can’t go too far without a loaded stash of my favorite drinks.
These coolers hold UP TO 40 cans!!!!
And they stay COLD for up to 4 days!!!!
We literally had like 4 layers of ice + drinks in there.
And MORE caffeine always makes for one happy camper.
{That’s me!!!}
We had a few activities lined up that we wanted to make sure to save time for.
Quad riding…..
Whittling sticks around the fire pit….
And a short little hike {which we now have to call a ‘walk‘ because of London’s displeasure in hiking} – – through the woods.
Isn’t my nephew handsome?
We made him the honorary water bottle holder which was actually no big deal because he used our Columbia Daypack to hold them all.
Once back at the campsite, the kids fished at a nearby pond while our cute little Savannah munched on fruit snacks in her Ciao Baby Portable High Chair.
Can you even stand how cute this picture is?
This little highchair was such a lifesaver.
It folds right up into a bag {just like a camping chair would do} and you can literally take it anywhere!!!
It made for one HAPPY and SATISFIED 18 month old.
Joe and my nephew were in charge of dinner.
There’s nothing quite like burgers and beans while you’re camping…am I right? We used our Coleman gas grill and our handy dandy Stanley 13 piece Mess Kit and we were good to go! Easy set-up and little mess.
We devoured every. last. bite.
Spending time with my family and loved ones is my favorite thing to do. We will cherish this little adventure of ours for years to come.
Be sure to head on over to Kohls to check out their FULL line of camping products. I had no idea they carried such a variety of items!!! I’ll definitely be heading back there soon to stock up on a few more items for some of Grant’s Boy Scout adventures.
