What are you in charge for your Thanksgiving dinner?
This year we are spending turkey day with Joe’s family and I volunteered to bring a couple of veggie dishes.
Thanksgiving dishes are THE BEST. Everything tastes SO extra yummy that day, am I right?
I thought I’d share some tried and true recipes from years past. These are all a HIT and have own my stamp of approval!
I made this up one year and it was so yummy…I made it again for Christmas dinner.
It takes a little prep but it is oh so worth it!
If I’m being honest – – I don’t LOVE pumpkin pie.
I know, how un-American of me, right?
This Pumpkin CREAM Pie is different though.
And I LOOOOOOOVE it!
The recipe shows you how to make this up and put it into mini jars. I’ve done that before but I’ve also just mixed it all together and made it into one regular sized pie pan.
I wish I had a piece right now.
Creamed corn will forever remind me of Sunday dinners and growing up. This recipe is my fave. I’m actually making it up to bring to a church dinner tomorrow night.
The real bonus with this recipe is…..
you can make it in the crockpot.
ScOrE!
And lastly….I have an appetizer/dip recipe.
Sadly, I don’t have a pic but YOU NEED TO TRUST ME…..IT’S A FAVORITE and is always snarfed gone whenever we bring it somewhere.
I promise you’ll love it.
It has bacon in it.
What more could you want?
Bacon & Cream Cheese Dip
2 – 8 oz. packages of cream cheese
12 ounces of shredded Swiss cheese
chopped green onions
1 cup of Mayonnaise
1 package of bacon
Brown your bacon, crumble and set aside.
Mix all remaining ingredients and spread into an 8 1/2 x 11″ pan.
Bake on 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Add the crumbled bacon and bake for an additional 10 minutes {or until cheese starts to bubble}.
Serve with crackers – we used Ritz, Club and Triscuits.
SUPER DUPER YUMMY!!!
