July Visiting Teaching Handout.

June 23, 2014 | Uncategorized

This month’s Visiting Teaching message is on:
The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: Advocate
{I know, I know, I’m super early with this but I’m going out of town and wanted to have it up and ready to use for my readers! I have the best readers around!!}

Two ideas came to mind as I started planning my handout based around this theme.

I’m offering BOTH for FREE as always, but I’m curious to know WHICH handout, people use – – so PLEASE, if you download one or the other please comment and let me know which one you’re using.  I like to know what my readers like πŸ™‚

Handout #1:
All you need is a bottle of Fanta soda.
That’s it!
Tie it up with some cute ribbon and this tag…

Handout #2:

Based after this quote from President Uchtdorf found on the LDS website:

The repetitive-ness of the ‘Let Us’ really stuck out to me.
Hence, the LETTUCE theme.
{Smile}.

If you choose to go with the garden gloves and seeds, you can find both of those at either The Dollar Tree
or in the $ bins at Target right now.

I personally, loved the idea of giving a salad kit to someone to use for dinner.

Other suggestions to go with this tag:

* A fresh head of romaine. {I LOVE fresh romaine lettuce!}

*If you’re needing to bring a dinner or lunch to someone – – you could buy those pre-made lettuce wraps at Costco and attach the tag.

Lots you could do with either of these handouts!
HAVE FUN!!

Download Fanta Tag HERE

Download Lettuce Tag HERE

As always – please make sure to become an

official follower of my blog

{right hand side under ‘Join Site’}.

 *Ideas are posted daily!*

Also – – I am MORE than flattered when others

‘replicate’ my ideas and come up with their

‘own’ tags.  I just

PLEASE ask that you give credit where credit

is due when posting, and please link back to

this original post.  xoxo

Happy Visiting Teaching!

I am using both. One of my ladies is diabetic, so she will be getting the salad with the lettuce tag. (She doesn't like gardening either) My other 2 ladies will be getting a 2 liter size bottle of Fanta…on sale at Target for $1.50. The single, small, cold ones were $1.59! Plus, their kids are home since it's Summer so the moms can share. Thanks a bunch!

I wasn't sure what to do for this month's message & you have saved me! What a wonderful idea! I will be using the lettuce handout simply because it is the most useful. I love being able to offer my sisters something to make their day better & lighten their load- and a quick dinner side will do just that!
I too would be interested in B&W versions of your handouts that we can print on colored cardstock & mount on scrapbook paper. The ones you make are so beautiful, but I don't have access to color printing & they just don't look nearly as cute when I print them on my B&W laser printer.

I went to the store to buy the Fanta, because I was going to go with that one.. but their salads were on sale for just a little bit more than the sodas, so I bought the salad instead! LOL

I did have one question though.. I visit several sisters, and also have to print a lot of things for all of our children, and with my calling.. so I was wondering if it would be possible to have a way to have the option of being able to print your wonderful V.T. printouts each month with or without the colorful backgrounds? That way we could print them as is, or if we are running low on color ink, we could just put in some colored cardstock or just white paper and then glue them onto some patterned cardstock?

I don't know how hard that would be to do, or how much more work it would be for you. I sooooo appreciate all you do each month with this for us! I LOVE being able to give my sisters a fun handout each month!
    thank you!!

Thanks so much for the work you put into the handouts. I love both of them! I printed the Fanta handout. I have 3 of my 4 sisters who are not active and I thought that it was more applicable to them. However I loved the end of the quote by President Uchtdorf, "Let us never lose sight of our Advocate and Redeemer as we walk toward Him, one imperfect step after another." We are all imperfect whether we are "active" or "inactive". Anyway, thanks so much!!!

I will be using the Fanta one as I visit two non-members, two in-actives and only one active member. As two of my sisters have not made any covenants, and the other two will not remember what covenants they made many years ago, the fanta one might get them to thinking more about the Savior. Thank you so much.

I will use both. With getting ready to leave for Trek I have the cutest hand fans that would be great for the "fanta" one. I also have a lady with Celiac and her husband is deployed until December to the middle east. So a salad dinner would help her out and be something she can eat. She has 5 children ages 16 months to 12 years. So I have been giving her some help with them once or twice a week. So the free printables you shared for the 4th of July I printed and framed to honor her husband and have something she could put out. So you have helped me twice this week. With getting ready to leave for trek this has been an added blessing for me. Thanks so much for sharing your talents. Your amazing and you will be blessed for helping so many of us. Now if I could find some cute little ideas for my trek family I could get them ready today and be good to go. That's about the last thing I have to do. Thanks again. I hope you ALWAYS know how much your appreciated. XOXOX
