Happy New Year!

January 1, 2014 | Uncategorized

Who else can’t believe that a NEW YEAR is already upon us?
2014.
Wowzers.
I graduated college FOURTEEN years ago.
{That makes me feel super old.}
We celebrated last night with bowling, cousins, dinner outside at San Tan Flats and friends!
I do love the FRESH start of a NEW YEAR.
There are ALWAYS goals to be set!
Fun Fact: I don’t like the word RESOLUTIONS.
Not sure why….but I prefer GOALS, much better.
I found THIS clever pin last week and have decided to do it for myself.
I shall look back up on this post next year and either be really proud of myself….or exteremely disappointed…{not really…but I’m holding myself to this.}
A bad habit I’m going to break: Surfing the internet in bed, before bed.  I need to use that time to read books. Unwind. And not stare aimlessly at the computer screen.

A new skill I’m going to learn: Photoshop Elements. I need to step my ‘graphics knowledge’ up a notch.  A BIG notch.

A person I hope to be more like: My mom.  She never complains about anything. And she’s nice to EVERYONE.

A good deed I’m going to do: Keeping this one to myself.

A place I’d like to visit: San Francisco.  Can you believe we’ve never been?

A book I’d like to read:
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand

A letter I’m going to write:Ho – hum. This one has me stumped.
{Because really, who writes letters anymore?}

A new food I’d like to try:I’m a wimp at trying new foods. {Just ask my husband}. So instead of trying a ‘new food’ per say…I’m going to commit to making ONE NEW RECIPE a week. That’s just about the same, right? {Except the recipes I make…will no doubt have ingredients that I KNOW I LOVE in them}.

I’m going to do better at:Organizing.  Anything and everything from cupboards and closets to photos and ribbon.

    I love this idea! When I read you were released from YW President I have to admit I was a little jealous, like you said it takes up SO much of your extra time! Had you thought about what you were going to do for birthday gifts this year before you knew you were being released? I need some good ideas!

    My goal is to declutter my house. I hope to work on a room a week…
    A goal for my family is to read/study the scriptures every night.

    Physical : Get back in the 'healthy weight for my height" agh, I still have 35lbs to go, but I hit 40 this year, so I want to turn 40 feeling FABULOUS!!!!

    Mental:: read 1 new book a month, learn to do some geneology

    spiritually: Read the Book of Mormon before July ( ward goal), serve hard, make a difference every day to someone.
