Dessert Recipes you must TRY!

I’ve been baking lots lately.
Baking is rather therapeutic for me.
And I always enjoy it even MORE when I get to bake for OTHER people.
Here’s what’s been brewing in my kitchen the past couple of weeks:
German Chocolate Cake Bars
This recipe is from one of my very favorite cooking blogs: Six Sisters Stuff.
Everything I’ve ever tried from them…has been amazing.
As were these cake bars.  They were so easy and SO yummy.
I substituted the chopped pecans for chopped almonds and they were perfect!

Mississippi Mud Brownie.  Brownie with a Oreo cookie crust!
This recipe is from The Idea Room and let me warn you…these brownies are DIVINE.
They’ve got an Oreo crust.  Need I say more?
I DOUBLED the brownie batter and cooked mine in a 9 x 13 pan.
It takes about 20 minutes longer to cook this way but you get so much more.
Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies
I’m always on the hunt for puffy, soft, chocolate chip cookies.
I tried this recipe from Sunday Baker yesterday.
They are my new favorite go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe from here on out.
They were BEYOND DESCRIBABLE YUMMY!
 
The recipe uses a box of instant Vanilla pudding.
I halved the recipe on this website and was able to get almost 3 dozen cookies.
Needless to say…they’re almost gone because they are THAT good.
And…. as promised….here is my friend Rachel’s recipe for seriously…the BEST EVER LEMON BUNDT CAKE .  I don’t even LIKE lemon flavored ANYTHING.  But I LOVE LOVE LOVED this cake!  Promise.  So moist {and I really hate the word moist!}  So flavorful.  So perfect!
Enjoy!
1 box lemon cake mix
3/4 c. water
1 small box lemon instant  pudding mix
3/4 c. oil
4 eggs
1 c. sour cream
Mix all ingredients.  Bake in well greased, floured bunt pan at 350 for 50-60 minutes.
As for a glaze….I mixed together powdered sugar, milk and lemon juice and drizzled that on top.
My friend ALSO says that you can make this cake and substitute the lemon with a CHOCOLATE cake mix, CHOCOLATE pudding mix and then add 1 cup of CHOCOLATE CHIPS for the BEST EVER CHOCOLATE CAKE.  
Definitely will be trying that next!

    I agree with Tonii – I think I just grew a dress size by reading this post. But seriously, who can resist a good cookie/cake recipe? The lemon bundt cake looks delicious – I'm a sucker for citrus flavored cakes! Try the Key Lime Cake (pinterest) from the Lettered Cottage. Yuuummmm!

    k, this amazing post SO did not help me in my quest to lose these last 5 lbs ๐Ÿ˜‰ I was trying to pick what I want to try first, I think it may have to be the chocolate chip cookies! Thank you so much for sharing!!
