Today we made the trek to Cedar City – – we are en route to our friends house up in Heber. We’ll stay up there and play until it’s time to check into our cabin with the rest of my family.
Driving to Cedar City is pretty sweet because the views are gorge….
……and the temps get cooler the farther you drive.
Does anyone else’s car look like this when you travel somewhere?
We made a pit stop at one of my MOST FAVORITE places to pit stop.
Cute little Jacob Lake has HANDS DOWN THE BEST COOKIES in all of the world. {Disclaimer: I haven’t actually traveled around the world. But I’m sure if I had — they’d still rank at the top}.
Their lemon sugar cookies are where it’s at!
I started a new book…..
….which I’m not so sure if I like yet.
I’ll give it a few more chapters and report back {because Im sure you all are just dying to know, right?}.
The last half hour of our trip was spent stuck in traffic on the mountain and these kids were troopers….
We finally rolled into town around 7 and met right on up with my sweet Aunt and Uncle for dinner at one of my most favorite places to eat in Cedar City.
Looooove this place and their breadsticks!
Bonus: It’s ONLY in the 90s here!!!! It’s like fall for us! ๐

Hi Marci I follow your blog and love all your fun ideas! I live in New Harmony, UT, just 20 miles South of Cedar! If you've never been you have to take a 5 minute break and stop, the views are well…there's no words to describe them. Take exit 42, head West about 3.8 miles and then, carefully, turn your car around. You can't see the view from the freeway and you can only see Kolob 5 fingers in New Harmony! Two great fun places to eat in Cedar, Centro Pizza and The Brick House! Enjoy your stay!! P.S. My brother is in charge of Main Street and Main Street Park, he's taken extra special care of the hanging flowers this year and the park is in tip top shape for the 4th of July Parade!

Oh this is SO fun to hear!!! The flowers on Main St. are my favorite!!! And I haven't been to New Harmony in years – since I was going to school S.U.U. Thanks for the tip!!! xoxo

When you're in Heber you should go eat at Davanza's in Park City! I think it would be right up your alley! (And if you go to SLC at all hit up Beyond Glaze donuts in sugarhouse. They are to die for!)

Ok so we totally ate at Davanza's today and it was SOOOOOO yummy!!! Their fry sauce is to die for! Thanks for the tip ๐
