As promised….here is the ever so yummy Strata recipe from my
Tomato themed breakfast last weekend.
I absolutely LOVED that I was able to make this up the night before and not stress over it in the morning. Enjoy!!!
Crock Pot Breakfast Strata
Ginger Wellard…thank you Ginger!
12 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
salt and pepper to taste
1 lb. bacon, cut into small pieces, browned and drained
1 {32 oz.} bag frozen hash brown potatoes
1/2 cup onion, diced
12 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
Layer the ingredients in your crock pot in the following order: 1/2 potatoes on bottom, 1/2 of the bacon, 1/2 of the onions, 1/2 of the cheese. REPEAT.
{Make sure and salt and pepper your hash browns each time really good! Next time I’m going to add some onion salt and garlic powder as well to add a little flavor!}
Beat the eggs, milk, mustard and a dash of salt and pepper together. Pour over the entire mixture in crock pot. Cook on low for 10-12 hours. Serves 10.
