Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough recipe.

August 10, 2012 | Uncategorized

I’ve gotten lots o’ questions about the cookie dough recipe I used for my
Christmas Neighbor Gifts last year.

So without further ado…..
Here’s one of my  very favorite GO- TO cookie dough recipes.

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening {or butter}
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Chocolate Chips
Holiday M&Ms
Mix first five ingredients together.  Add the remaining ingredients.
Set oven to 375 Degrees and cook on ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 mintues.
As far as the labels go….I cannot offer them as a printable.
I paid someone to custom design them for me on etsy.
I ordered 2 separate labels…one for the front and one for the back.
Hope this helps!

On a completely different food related note:
I made THIS for dinner tonight.
It’s one of my kids’ FAVORITES!
Instead of using beef strips…this time I tried sautéed chicken strips.
I think I officially like it better that way.

    Hi Marci,
Love this idea! Can't wait to try this. Where did you find the containers and how big are they?

I purchased some containers here: http://www.thinkgarnish.com/store/shop-garnish/no-soup-or-ice-cream-for-you/

I also was able to purchase some for super cheap through the deli section at my local grocery store.

I used the 16 oz. size ones.

Hi Marci – I need to make several of these. Can you tell me how many 16ounce containers this recipe filled (without being doubled, and made as is listed above)? Trying to figure out if it will be doable cost wise.

    Thanks!

Once you've made the dough up, how long would it last before it needs cooking?

If you freeze it, it would last up to a few months at least. If you're putting it in your refrigerator I would say 1-2 weeks. Hope this helps!! xoxo Marci

Which Stay vendor did you use? I know there are tons who design labels, but may be easier to use the one you did who knows the specifics? Thanks!
