I have an older sis who teaches 6th grade.
{And I don’t mean to brag BUT…she’s a really really good teacher. ALL the kids want her}.
School starts next week and she enlisted my help with her bulletin boards.
{I strangely enough find stuff like this thrilling!}
We thought it would be fun AND fitting to do a social media theme.
Thanks to Pinterest…here’s what we came up with:
There are 29…yes 29!!! students in her class this year.
She wanted something funny for her profile pic.
Thank you google images for amusing us.
This quote was just too funny to pass up.
{Fingers crossed her principal doesn’t make us change the word ‘idiot’.}
As for the inside of her classroom, we came up with this….
I’m so happy with how it all turned out!
Can’t wait to help her with more.

Oh, my goodness, the Readbox is adorable! Would you mind terribly if I borrowed your idea for our Daily 5 Library and blogged about it? I'll link and credit you, of course!

Love the idea. Thanks so much for sharing! I am also a librarian and will be working on this display! Thanks again!

I copied your idea but on a 3rd grade level; I just hand-traced the 'r' and used the school's die cut machine for the rest of the letters (I modified the 'e' slightly to be more authentic to the Redbox logo). I pinned it here: http://pinterest.com/pin/5348093281006915/
I plan to have the kids write little book highlights/reviews on their favorite books throughout the school year and we will feature them on the left side as 'top picks' or 'new releases'! Thanks for blogging this! I tried to link-back on my Pin but for some reason was unable to.

What font style did you use for the readbox?
Marci Coombs says
Hi Gail! We just found a google image of a real Redbox and then put it on the projector and traced that actual font onto poster paper. Hope that makes sense ๐

Thanks! That's very helpful and makes alot of sense. I am a librarian and can so see this as you enter my library.

Okay, I've never seen the "readbox" idea. That is so cool. How lucky your sister is to have you to help her with all that. Can't believe school is staring for you guys! We don't start for another month.
