THANK YOU for such a great response on filling me in on FUN games to play with my family!
I cannot wait to try them out.
Now…I’m searching for BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS.
One of my VERY FAVORITE things to do on va-cay is READ!
My sisters and I sit out on the front porch of our cabin and read and read and read. It’s bliss.
{Add to that a cool breeze + a Diet Dr Pepper and I’m in heaven!}
Here are a couple of books that I just ordered off of Amazon Prime {OMG how great is that whole thing?!} to take up with me:
Gonna borrow this one from my mom when she’s done reading it…
And is it bad that I REALLY want to read this one…?
I haven’t ordered it….yet!
So what books have YOU read that you really REALLY love?
Oh and you should probably know – – I’ve never read the Hunger Games nor do I intend to. And while we’re on the subject….I didn’t like the Twilight series either.
{Gasp, I know!}
I like: true stories, funny reads and romance.

on VacCay I like easy read feel good.. or a little bit of drama..
I liked lisa Moriarty big little lies and I'm starting her the husband's secret..
if u like romantic English settings with a twist.. I loved kate morton.. she has 3 books
the forgotten garden, the secret keeper and the distant hours.
I love a good book!!!
Ooohhh good to know! Thanks Lindsay! xoxo
I just Finished 'the liar' by Nora Roberts. 500 pages and I read it in 3 days. So good!
I hope this post doesn't show up twice – I wrote and then hit publish and it was gone so if you get it twice sorry!
J A Jance, the Ali Reynolds series. It's slight mystery and with some romance, nothing gross. I don't usually like mystery but a good friend suggested it so I tried it. Loved, Loved, Loved it! The series is 5 or 6 books set in Southern California and Northern Arizona – so a must read for you :).
Karen Kingsbury is a Christian author who usually writes romantic short novels. Her books are fast, feel good reads.
Enjoy your vacation – although according to the weather Southern Utah isn't going to be much cooler than Arizona – come to Cache Valley to excape some of the heat!
Thanks Kara!! I'd LOVE to take a trip to Cache Valley sometime — haven't been there in years. SO pretty! xoxo
If you are into the Jane Austen time period at all try Julie Klassen's Regency Era Romance Novels. Any of hers are good. Especially the Silent Governess, Lady of Milkweed Manor, and her latest, The Secret of Pembrooke Park. You may have already read the romance novels by LDS authors Sarah Eden and Julianne Donaldson. If not, you must! haha Especially Seeking Persephone, and The Kiss of A Stranger by Eden, and Donaldson's Edenbrooke and Blackmoore. Those are super duper good romances and clean. ๐ For something true to life. Try the Astronauts Wives Club. {Now a tv show, just premiered last Thursday night!} I love your blog! I'm pretty sure with our mutual love of good food, themed parties, Disney and Dateline we could be friends. Have fun on your trip to Utah. ๐
Thanks for all of these! I read Edenbrooke a few years back and LOVE LOVE LOVED it!!! xoxo
the shoemakers wife…(a tear jerker in the end but SOOO good). and my name is resolute
both really long books but if you are n vacation (which is the only time i read) why not, added bonus your kiddies will think you are so smart!
Stefnie
The Rosie Project. If you haven't read it yet, I'd say it's a must!
Just got it from the library today! Can't wait to start it — thanks for the suggestion!
Awesome! Let me know what you think!
