Today’s Blast from the Past brings you all things VALENTINE’S. {Can you tell I’m in the Vday mood?} Here are some fun things I’ve done in past years!
This is a quick and easy Teacher gift! The popcorn containers always seem to be floating around in the Target $ bins.
Fill er up with your teacher’s favorite soda, treat, some popcorn and a movie pass or two and you are set! {What teacher doesn’t like getting free movie passes??}
Valentine’s is my very favorite time of the year to make sugar cookies. {Frosting HEARTS are the EASIEST possibly holiday shape!}
I like to pick up plates when I see them for cheap in different holiday colors. That way, when you deliver your treats, there’s a little extra ‘sumthin’ for your friends to keep.
Another easy Valentine idea:
Small bags of Jelly belly’s with the above phrase. Or as Joe would say…PUN. He thinks every one of my treats/gift giving ideas revolves around a PUN. I think he may be right.
Having two boys on Valentine’s Day gets kinda tricky. So many of the Valentine-ish stuff is all pink and covered in glitter and girly stuff. Which is why I thought I had hit the jackpot when I saw these shovels at Michaels one year:
Boyish AND cute. Just attach a bag of candy hearts or your favorite treat and you are good to go!
I consider myself to be somewhat of a wrapping paper connoisseur. {Just one of many addictions}. One year I scored a bunch of red and white polka dot paper in the $ bins at Target {yes…I frequent those bins on an almost daily basis}. I knew I had to do something with them for Valentine’s and so here’s what I came up with:
A candy bar WRAPPED in the paper with a little added detail. I made the flower out of a heart shaped punch. Super simple.
One year I found these all white pails at The Dollar Tree. I know when I find something with a solid color like white…I just HAVE to find it. There is SO much you can do with it.
I added some alphabet rub-ons….
…filled the bucket with cinnamon gummy hearts {yum!}….
….and wrapped it up with a big bow!
I delivered these to the people that I visit teach one year! A simple and cheap little sumthin-sumthin!
Every year I have my sister Stephanie take some Valentine pictures of my kids to send out in cards to family and friends. Love these 3 yay-hoos! They make Valentine’s SO much FUN!
