Raise your hand if you have an elf that comes and visits your house each year at Christmas time?
{My condolences…..haha KIDDING!}
I think this may be the first year that our elf doesn’t have to move around if you know what I mean. My youngest is in 6th grade and while the thought of my kids getting older always makes me sad….I can’t tell you HOW many times in years past that I was JUST about to fall asleep….and then remembered that the dang elf had not yet been moved for the night.
Elves are fun though. They bring SO much excitement and JOY into the home at Christmas time. Watching the kids wake up in the morning and hunt for the elf was always SO much fun.
Our elf however was never pesky or mischievious. Mainly because by the end of the night….I was tired. And any ounce of creativity that I did have…was already used up during the day. So our elf just quietly moved from place to place and that was it. BUT IT GOT ME THINKING….
What if……there were actually elves that came and did some GOOD??!! And what if…there were elves that existed that actually ENCOURAGED the kids that they visited each year…to do some GOOD, too?!? Which is WHY I’ve created 2 BRAND NEW SETS of printables for ELVES everywhere!!!
My first set is called the KINDNESS ELVES 12 Days of Christmas printables.
Each day, for 12 days…it encourages kids to be kind. Help others. And do GOOD!!!
And it’s quite simple…..wherever you leave your elf for the night…you just leave one of these tags right by it and the kids will think the ‘elf’ is asking them to do something GOOD for that day. It’s basically a win! and encourages KINDNESS!
Kindness Elf Printables HERE
My second set of ELF printables encourages a small Christmas activity to be done each day…
These activites are small and simple and can be done with one person or a whole family!!
They were created to incite EXCITEMENT in the eyes of children. Because there really is nothing better at Christmas time, am I right?!

You are amazing!! I have been following you for about 7 years now. My kids are kind of grown now (college bound), but I love the Christmas Elf printables. I have several friends that have an Elf on the Shelf, and they are always looking for things to do with the elf. I love the idea of being kind and bringing joy and happiness to others that you have shared with us. This last year I have seen a shift in people. I have seen extra kindness in people, but I have also seen a little selfishness. Your printables are teaching our children how to think and care for others, being kind, and not thinking of themselves only. Basically, following Christ’s example. WWJD. I can’t tell you how often those words, “What would Jesus do?” go through my head. Thank you for sharing these wonderful ideas and all the others you have shared previously.
