This Weekend:

Friday morning I met my cute parents at Sams Club while the kids worked on their online school duties at home.

Without fail….whether it be Sams, or Costco, or the grocery store…my parents always check their receipt after they’ve checked out to make sure that the cashier didn’t over charge them.  Anyone else’s parents do this?

I felt like London’s teacher might need a little pick me up {what teacher didn’t after the last 2 weeks, I’m sure!} Their pink sugar cookie really hits the spot sometimes.

Once London finished up school on her computer, we headed over to the nail salon to get pedicures.

I promise…if you had seen how nasty I had let my feet get….you would probably think differently of me.  LoL.  It had been WAY too long!

Oh yah…it’s worth mentioning that it was 120 DEGREES ON FRIDAY!!!!  It’s too hot to even drive places you guys!!

Somehow we managed to get rid of all the kiddies on Friday night {score!} and so Joe and I went out on a very overdue dinner date to one our favorite local spots.

We haven’t been out just the two of us, in forever it seemed like.  We had so much fun talking about the week, about our kids and about our future…..it reminded me of a quote that Leslie Knope says on ‘Parks and Rec’……I LOVE YOU AND I LIKE YOU.  And man, I really do with this one.  We’re so lucky to have each other.

{We’re on season 6 of ‘Parks and Rec’ now and loving every single episode.  We DIE laughing!!}

Saturday was spent doing the usual errands and chores.  I spent most of the afternoon in my craft room creating new Christmas goodies for my Etsy shop.

I’ll be stocking my shop all week with some REALLY fun stuff for the holidays, so make sure to check back by the end of the week!

*Home church on Sunday. We had a couple of Joe’s siblings over for Sunday dinner.

We grilled up some carne asada and cilantro lime chicken and had fajitas.  I don’t think I could ever get sick of fajitas.
