This Weekend:

I tried to stay inside as much as possible on Friday.  It got to like 118 degrees outside.  Which….if you’ve ever wondered WHAT that feels like….it basically feels like you’re just walking right inside of a preheated oven.

I worked on some more NEW! FUN! Christmas printables for my Etsy shop!

Get that freezer jam made because I’ve got THREE new Jam inspired tags that I’ll be posting in my shop in the next couple of days!

I cut up some fresh fruit for the weekend…

Does anyone else feel like this takes a lot of time?  Just me?

Joe brought home takeout on Friday night for us and then I had Grant drive me to Wal-mart. {We’re super exciting, I know!}

It still slighlty scares me when he drives.  That’s totally normal, right?  Heaven help me when we have to go on the freeway!

I went to my least favorite place to go on a Saturday….on Saturday.

Costco.  Bleh.  Everything about it makes me grouchy.  Doesn’t help that they’re not handing out samples anymore, too.

We went out on a date night with two of our favorite couples on Saturday night.  An actual DATE NIGHT!  I feel like we haven’t been on one since forever and man, it felt nice!  We ate at Firebirds (so yummy!) and had SO much fun talking and laughing with our dear friends.  It made things seem a little bit back to normal for once and I can’t wait to do it again.

At home church on Sunday.  My parents joined us and it’s always fun to have them come and take the Sacrament with us.

We held our annual family Back to School Dinner on Sunday night.

I cannot WAIT to share with you every last detail about it.

I LOVE that my kids still look forward to doing this.  I thought once they got a bit older, they could take it or leave it but they actually start asking about it a good month before we have it now.  And that makes my heart so happy.
