Ever since I studied the new curriculum online for the youth in our church,
I knew that I wanted to make up SOME type of a notebook for the girls to take notes on during class.
There is SO MUCH good stuff in these lessons.
Scriptures, quotes, conference talks…
I wanted the girls to have SOMETHING to jot everything down on throughout the year.
I wanted them to be able to remember their OWN impressions and thoughts.
I wanted them to have something that they can use for the rest of their lives to refer back to in their own personal study.
I didn’t want to go OVERBOARD with decorating the notebooks but I wanted them to be CUTE.
I wanted them to USE them more than anything else.
I had a few requirements….
They had to be spiral bound {these always just hold up so much better}
They had to have pockets inside of them so the girls could store handouts, etc.
They had to be small enough to fit inside a purse.
Wal-mart to the rescue!
I printed off some of my very favorite printables online with the 2013 mutual theme.
Here are some that I came up with…

Printable via Hang a Ribbon on the Moon |

Printable via Liberty’s Layouts |
And MY personal favorite…

Printable via Hang a Ribbon on the Moon |
All of the printables were printed right onto 8 1/2″ x 11″ sticker paper so I could just trim em and stick em RIGHT on front!

love the creativity…i've always thought of doing something like this for my young women since i've been chosen to be the president but didn't know how or when to start but now i know…thank you very much ๐
Since you used sticker paper that is bigger then your notebooks were you able to fit 2 pictures per page on your sticker and then cut them down?
Unfortuatnely, only one picture fit per page. It was just a little too big to fit two onto the page.
I downloaded the file but it looks like a white background! How do you get the chalkboard background? I am NOT savvy on downloads!
Yikes! I'm usually not either Pam…..did you figure it out?
Your young women are sooooo lucky – they have no idea!! (but hopefully they do ๐

Thank you so much for sharing all of your great ideas. We were talking about doing something similar and then BOOM you post this! You are amazing..
Question- did you use 8×10 notebooks or smaller ones?
Thanks so much
Jessica
Haha…great minds think alike, right? ๐ I used the smaller ones…around a 5x7ish size. I wanted them to be able to fit inside their scriptures or purses. xoxo
Marci, Again thanks for the good ideas. Do you do all your printing at home? If so what type of printer do you have?
If it's not a lot…then I do it at home. I bought just an Epson Stylus cheap color printer from Target that has done me just fine! If I have quite a bit of printing to do…then I take it to my local UPS store and have the color copies made there! xoxo
These are darling! With the start of the new curriculum we have been encouraging our girls to bring their "Fab Four" each Sunday… Scriptures (NOT electronic form!), a journal/notebook, FSOY pamphlet, and their Personal Progress book!
Love Love Love that idea Cassie!!! xoxo
Great minds think alike ha ha- we were just talking about doing this- and here it is ๐ perfect
Those are great! Cute and simple!
These notebooks are darling!! I want one for myself ๐ It is inspiring to see the work you put into serving these YW…thanks for all the great ideas!!
Love these notebooks!
Oh my goodness I love these! Thank you for the inspiration and way to go on teaching those young ones the good word!!!!
