* Friday was pretty blissful because I stayed home all morning and got things done around my house.
I had this bubbling on my stove all day….
…and it reminded me of my childhood at Christmastime.
My mom ALWAYS had a pot of this burning during the month of December. She also always had the Carpenters record playing on the stereo and now I love BOTH!
* Friday night Grant had a birthday party to attend so Joe and I took the other 2 kiddies out to dinner and to do some Christmas shopping for one another.
Seriously….why is Texas Roadhouse’s Cactus Blossom so ridiculously good?
London was also quick to point out that the lady sitting directly behind us looked like Beverly Goldberg.
๐
She couldn’t have been more spot on!
{Side note: that show is our FAVORITE!!!}
* Grant had an early morning hip-hop practice on Saturday so while he did that, I headed to the nearest Goodwill. It was 50% off day and wasn’t so sure what to think…
Bargains, for sure! but the people?!?
No joke – – the following is something I overheard a customer say to another customer:
“His leg got stuck in the conveyor belt and it ripped it right off!” ๐
Saturday lunch was spent at the grocery store with London.
Locals: Bashas has REALLY good stuffed quesadillas.
I promise.
* Saturday evening was spent wrapping presents {I’m seriously still trying to figure out where I hid everything!}
* Sunday morning London and I got to work making Christmas sugar cookies.
Can you even stand how cute she looks in those fake glasses of hers?!?
* Churchey-church on Sunday afternoon.
2 of my dear friends spoke and it did my heart good to hear their beautiful, heart felt testimonies. We are surrounded by such good people in our lives.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
How is it even possible that Christmas is THIS WEEK?!
Looking forward to:
* Grant’s 12th Birthday!!!
{yup I said that right…12th!}
* Decorating gingerbread houses
* The Coombs family Christmas party
* Lamoreaux family Christmas Eve
* R-E-L-A-X-I-N-G!
Finally!!
My Etsy orders are all shipped off, my Christmas shopping is DONE and we don’t have one thing on our TO-DO list over Christmas break. I could not be more thrilled.
I told my husband that I plan to sit on the couch and watch Netflix for the next 2-3 weeks.
{Any suggestions on shows to watch?!}
