* Friday morning temple trip.
If you ever have the chance to start your weekend out there, I highly recommend it!
Afterwards, I discovered a new spot to work on my laptop and sip endless amounts of Diet Coke!!
Great wi-fi, good food – – I only wish they had a bigger cup to fill my Diet Coke with ๐ {they’re only size is like 12 ounces…I mean come on!}
* Came home to find out that Carson’s turtle Waddles has decided how to climb…๐ณ
You guys, this tiny creature really grosses me out.
It could be because Carson rarely cleans the tank.
OR…because it has a tail that looks like a tiny piece of poo.
Regardless….we are stuck with it because Carson loves it so.
* Friday night we headed down to central Phoenix.
My bro just bought a house there and it is SO COOL!
So many unique features…my favorite though might be this original brick from the 1920s!!!
{It’s in the master bedroom, too!}
Afterwards, we checked out Novel…
Ice-cream STUFFED donuts SAY WHAT?!?!?!?
{That’s right….WARM donuts + creamy ice-cream!}
Locals: add this place to your list of MUST TRY PLACES!
London and Cars opted for the ‘cookie monster’ ice-cream..
It really was heavenly and in the most little, unique spot on Grand Ave.
* Saturday was spent running kids back and forth and back and forth. Anyone else’s weekends feel like that?
* Thank goodness for date night Saturday night HERE.
My husband had to prove a point to my cousin’s wife that HE was saving the planet by not using a straw. I however, was not. {Because let’s be honest….no straw = EW!}
Also: their Diet Coke is HANDS DOWN THE BEST!
Also – this family was on their phones THE ENTIRE TIME.
ALL OF THEM!
Made me laugh. And kind of sad at the same time.
* Churchey-church on Sunday.
We discussed THIS great talk from Elder David A. Bednar in Relief Society – – such a great talk!
* Sunday night we had some of our favorite people over for dinner. My friend requested pot roast {which YOU KNOW…is my fave!} I whipped up some mashed potatoes, butt rolls and then for a veggie I made these….
{is it weird that I LOVE peas?}
So yummy!
So grateful for the good people in our lives.
