* Friday morning I got myself a MUCH needed pedicure.
Purple, of course.
You KNOW your feet are skeevy when your own boys point it out. {My boys never notice anything!}
I stopped for lunch at Eklectic Pie.
They have the BEST lunch special around.
I’m not normally a huge fan of ceaser salad – – but their’s hits the spot.
* Joe and the boys took off to the mountains for our ward family campout….
….while London and I stayed home for a ‘Girls Weekend’.
Our Girls Weekend’s consist of London picking out everything we do. And it’s really no surprise that she picks the SAME thing every time.
Shopping at the mall + dinner at Paradise Bakery.
She seriously skipped through the entire mall to every single store. She may just love shopping EVEN MORE than me – – if you can even believe it!
She tried to explain to me why she needed {yet another} Beanie Boo. {She owns probably 50 already, mind you}.
New fall scents are IN at Bath and Body Works!
And we just had to have soup for dinner.
{Only London can eat soup when it’s 110 degrees outside!}
We headed home and popped popcorn and watched the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics.
I am officially obsessed with air popped pop-corn.
It puts the microwaved version to shame.
* Saturday morning London and I met up with a dear blog reader of mine. I had never met her before but she had reached out to me and was in town and so I said, ‘why not?’
You guys – – I seriously have the best blog readers!
This gal was an absolute doll!
I felt like we had been friends for forever.
Thank you Deneigh for getting in touch with me.
I had such a fun time getting to know you better.
Oh – and I highly recommend the biscuits with CHORIZO gravy and eggs at The Henhouse.
Good thing there’s no calories in it, right?
{Wink!}
* Churchey-church on Sunday.
My husband got released as a primary teacher and put in as the new ward mission leader. He will be so fantastic.
It was so sweet seeing how emotional he got about leaving his sweet little primary kiddos. Those kids just adored him and he adored them right back.
* Walking out of church we had quite the scare of our lives.
Grant passed out in the middle of the parking lot.
He’s never ever done this before!
It took him what seemed like FOREVER to come back to.
And when he did – – he was shaking and completely incoherent.
His forehead and face hit the pavement REALLY hard.
We were worried about a possible concussion but….things have started to look up, thank goodness!
Watching Joe scoop him off the pavement and into his arms and watching Grant completely out of it – – was quite possibly the scariest thing ever.
It really put into perspective REAL FAST – – just what’s important in life.
Thank you to our dear sweet friends who stopped to help us out. London was sobbing, I was in shock and Joe was doing everything he could to get Grant back to normal.
So blessed beyond measure tonight.

I am so glad he is ok and how scary that is. Karson is sad to lose his favorite primary teacher but he will be great as the ward mission leader.
