* I started my weekend off by meeting my parents at the local McDs for a Diet Coke.
Aren’t they just the cutest?
Fun Fact: They go to McDs EVERY morning for their Diet Coke. I’m pretty sure the workers there know them by name.
I also blame my love/obsession/addiction for Diet Coke
on these 2.

* Afterwards, I headed over to the AZCEND center to help input volunteer hours into their system.
See those tiny names on each of those rows?
Those are hours upon hours of people just like us who give up their time to volunteer for the IHELP {homeless} program.
It always warms my heart to see others giving of their time so freely.
* Met up with 2 of my favorite ladies for lunch afterwards.
We tried a new Chinese food restaurant right by our house that just opened up and it was yummy!
Their orange chicken was just the right amount of orange.
Their egg roll though? I didn’t really care for….
* Friday night we were ALL in our jammies by 6 pm, sitting on the couch and watching TV.
It was one of those weeks and we all need a ‘veg out’ night just to ourselves. It felt so good.
* Joe scored tickets to the annual PHOENIX COOKS event on Saturday thru his work and so my sisters, bro-in-law and I jumped at the chance to go.
{$100 tickets VS. free? Yes, please!}
We pretty much ate our way thru the entire afternoon…sampling everything from filet mignon to short rib tacos to sun-dried tomato polenta to ice-cream and cannolis.
I also tried buffalo for the first time.
I’m pretty sure I would’ve liked it had I not known what it was.
* Churchey-church on Sunday.
Testimony meeting was just the pick-me-up I needed.
* Sunday night, my family all came over for dinner to celebrate my Dad’s birthday!!!
This pic cracks me up!
We ate shredded beef tacos, cilantro lime rice, homemade refried beans, chips and salsa….and of course, cake and ice-cream!
We also introduced my family to the show Impractical Jokers.
SO. FUNNY!
Speaking of FUNNY…after everyone left, the kids had their cousins sleep-over and Joe and I watched this comedian….

We LOVE Ryan Hamilton! He is by far our favorite comedian. We have seen him numerous times at the comedy club here in SLC. I'm so happy others can share in the laughter now!
