* Our Friday started off up at the school with London’s Rainforest Presentation.
London nailed the Amazon Pink River Dolphin and was OH SO giddy about it.
{Her 3rd grade teacher really is THE BEST!}
The kiddies sang songs, we played a game and then her teacher showed an end of the year DVD that may or may not have made me cry.
{Ok, lets be honest…I was a blubbering mess!}
* Lunch afterwards with one of my favorite friends.
We tried a new spot in downtown Gilbert and it was SOOOO delish! Such a fun concept.
My friend got the beef barbacoa nachos {yes…they come on fries!} and I got the chilaquiles which I HIGHLY recommend!!!
I can’t wait to take Joe back!!
* Picked up the Cubbers from the groomer…
Isn’t he so handsome?😝
* Celebrated with the kids after school – – London and Carson and their friends made the school talent show!!!!
They are SO pumped!!
* Friday night my darling friend hosted the CUTEST ‘Favorite Things’ party at her home.
We each were asked to bring 3 of our favorite things.
$10 and under.
I brought:
– A Sodalicious gift card because duh, Diet Coke.
– Metal straws because they make my ice-water taste almost as good as Diet Coke. {Seriously…metal straws are THE BOMB!}
– A letter board because these are my favorite right now!
My friend set up a fancy soda bar with all the fixins…
And then our dinner consisted of coconut shrimp from the Outback, chicken and pineapple kabobs, fruit, salad, rolls and the most delicious chocolate truffles EVER.
When we got there, we each wrote our names on 3 different slips of paper. When it was our turn we went up to the table and explained each of our favorite things…and then drew a name for each one to give it to!
It really was the best time.
So thankful for the tribe of good hearted women around me!!
It was the perfect way to kick off Mother’s Day weekend!
* Saturday morning Joe and I snuck away and saw the new Melissa McCarthy movie.

She’s pretty much my all time favorite and this movie did not disappoint. So cute. So funny!
* Saturday night was so special.
We got to take Carson to the Gilbert Temple for his first time ever.
My parents and niece joined us and while we were inside I felt as though my heart might burst.
SOOO many happy thoughts.
And to be there with my mom on Mother’s Day weekend was just the icing on the cake!!
I LOVE her love of family history.
Dare I say that I might be catching the bug, too?
* Sunday morning we woke up, got ready for church and headed over to my sister’s house to talk to my handsome nephew Tyson who is serving a Mormon mission in Barcelona, Spain.
It was SO fun to see his smiling face.
He is SO happy and LOVES the people that he is serving.
{For those that don’t know…missionaries get to call home only twice a year. Once on Christmas and once on Mother’s Day. It’s a pretty big deal.}
We are SO proud of him and the work that he is doing.
We can’t wait to squeeze him come the end of October.
*Churchey-church after.
My bucket was filled.
Such good talks and musical numbers.
Plus…in Relief Society…we got PIE!
* My parents and sister came over for Sunday dinner.
We had our traditional roastbeef dinner. We ate on paper plates and everyone brought something so it was a WIN! all around.
