Raise your hand if you’re in a post Christmas coma today?
We had such a fabulous weekend but man, it pooped me out. I went to bed last night at 7:30 pm!!! and slept until 9:30 am this morning! I will say though – – I loved every last minute of our festivities this Christmas. I always get a little sad when it’s all over with. Here’s to sitting on the couch all week and doing absolutely NOTHING!
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
* Friday morning we met my parents for a quick breakfast over at McDonalds. {Fun Fact: my parents + my kids LOVE McDonalds breakfast. And I LOVE their Diet Coke so I guess you could say, it’s a win-win for all involved.}
Carson looks SO MUCH like my dad when he was a kid.
I love it!
*Much needed haircuts for the boys afterwards…
* Friday evening was our annual Coombs family Christmas party and dinner at Joe’s parents house.
It was magical, as always!
The kids acted out the nativity, we had our annual talent show and Grandma and Grandpa did their ‘fishing pond’ that the kids love so much!
So fun. We look forward to it every year!
* Christmas Eve morning we decorated our gingerbread house.
We started this little tra-dish when the boys were itty bittys and it’s one that the kids look forward to every year.
Then…it was off to the movies…

THIS MOVIE IS DARLING!!!!
It’s a MUST SEE this Christmas break.
All the kids + adults LOVED it!
* Christmas Eve evening {say that 10 times!} was spent with the Lamoreaux’s over at my parents house.
We feasted on a traditional ham dinner with all the sides, Aunt Tori read THIS book {SUCH a sweet little story!}, we had our annual cousins gift exchange as well as the adult gift card game…
And then we headed home to open up jammies and tuck the kiddies into bed. {Well, not really. They didn’t fall asleep upstairs until 11 pm.}
* CHRISTMAS MORNING!!!!
Santa came!
We were up at 5:30 am ๐ด opening presents!
My side of the family came over for Christmas breakfast and to SKYPE my nephew Tyson who is serving a mission over in Spain!!!! {For those that don’t know – – the only time a missionary can call home is on Christmas and Mother’s Day. So it’s a pretty big deal!}
He looked AWESOME {he’s already gained 12 pounds he said, hehe!} and is doing such good work. We are OH SO VERY proud of him!
Sausage & Egg casseroles + Cinnamon roll casserole + hashbrowns are how we do Christmas breakfast. So delish!
* Churchey-church on Christmas afternoon.
It was an EXTRA special day because Grant was ordained a Deacon into our church and he received the Priesthood.
I can’t even believe that’s he’s 12!!!
{And doesn’t he look sharp in his new suit?}
We are so grateful for our family members who came to be apart of this very special occasion. Moments like this {plus thousands of others} make me feel SO blessed to live so close to our extended family.
* Dinner back at our house afterwards followed by finally sitting down for the first time all weekend on my couch and dozing off to sleep. Hehe.
Such a great weekend.
Couldn’t have asked for anything better.
