March Visiting Teaching handout – Light of the World.

February 27, 2014 | Uncategorized

Can you believe March is here in only TWO more days?
{Haven’t gotten your Feb. VT done yet? Click HERE.}
I must say – I am super proud of myself for getting the March VT handout done EARLY!
{That usually doesn’t happen. Maybe I’m turning over a new leaf?}
This month’s lesson is on:
The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ:
Light of the World
Of course – – I knew I wanted to do something based around LIGHT.
I found these adorable lightbulb glass jars from Hobby Lobby.
They’re $1.99 – – but on sale THIS WEEK for 50% off so – only a buck a jar!
{Score!}
I LOVED this quote included in the lesson from Elder Henry B. Eyring.
I filled my jars with Lemonheads, although you could fill them with basically ANY type of little yellow candies: M&Ms, jellybeans, etc.

For a copy of my FREE PRINTABLE TAG click HERE.

If you don’t live near a Hobby Lobby {I can’t even imagine!!! Smile.}
then you could also attach this tag to: a flashlight or a small candle.

ENJOY!!!

    Hi Marci! I love this idea. I'm going to use it as a handout for our activity days recognition night. When I click on the printable nothing happens though. Do you still have it? Annaleehunsaker@gmail.com

    Marci, I just wanted to tell you that I think you're an awesome trendsetter. I went to Hobby Lobby to make these but they are sold out. The employee told me that for some reason (I think it was you!) these jars have been flying off the shelves for the past 4 weeks to the point that they don't even have any left in the warehouse. Thanks for inspiring so many of us to do our visiting teaching this month! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Yay! Just made these for my sisters. Both of our Hobby Lobby's stores were sold out, but I did find them at Michaels for $1.99 each (not on sale). But I loved the idea so much I paid the extra. ๐Ÿ™‚
    Thank you!!

    Why does the nearest Hobby Lobby have to be over 2 hours away!! this is so stinkin' cute! Gonna have to settle for something less cute for my sisters.

    Marci I just found your site on sugerdoodle last month. I haven't been very consistent in my visiting teaching. However, they gave me the calling of visiting teaching supervisor so I guess I have to do better now. Isn't it funny how you always get a talk or calling in something you need to improve on. Anyways, I am glad I found your site. You have the cutest ideas! I didn't do last month's because $5 was a bit much for me to spend on each sister when my family is on a budget. But I did do this month's and it is so adorable. Doing fun stuff like this is what keeps me excited about visiting my sisters. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity!

    I LOVE this!! So cute:) I have a question, Do you always print these from home, or can you send them to costco or walmart to have it printed? I have printed them from home in the past, but I swear I run out of ink so fast, and ink is so expensive. If I can send to costco or walmart, how do I do that?
    Thank you, Marci, I don't know you personally, but I feel like I do, since I read your blog almost daily…haha:)
    xoxo

      You are too kind Brookie – thanks so much for your sweet comments! I usually print these at home if I don't need a whole bunch of copies. If I do, then I just print out one copy and take it to my local copy shop {UPS store} and do my color copies there, so it doesn't drain out my own ink. Haven't tried ever sending these to Costco or anywhere else, so honestly I'm not sure how you would do that. Sorry!!! xoxo
