This month’s Visiting Teaching message is on:
The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: Advocate
{I know, I know, I’m super early with this but I’m going out of town and wanted to have it up and ready to use for my readers! I have the best readers around!!}
Two ideas came to mind as I started planning my handout based around this theme.
I’m offering BOTH for FREE as always, but I’m curious to know WHICH handout, people use – – so PLEASE, if you download one or the other please comment and let me know which one you’re using. I like to know what my readers like ๐
Handout #1:
All you need is a bottle of Fanta soda.
That’s it!
Tie it up with some cute ribbon and this tag…
Handout #2:
Based after this quote from President Uchtdorf found on the LDS website:
The repetitive-ness of the ‘Let Us’ really stuck out to me.
Hence, the LETTUCE theme.
{Smile}.
If you choose to go with the garden gloves and seeds, you can find both of those at either The Dollar Tree
I personally, loved the idea of giving a salad kit to someone to use for dinner.
Other suggestions to go with this tag:
* A fresh head of romaine. {I LOVE fresh romaine lettuce!}
*If you’re needing to bring a dinner or lunch to someone – – you could buy those pre-made lettuce wraps at Costco and attach the tag.
Lots you could do with either of these handouts!
HAVE FUN!!

As always – please make sure to become an
official follower of my blog
{right hand side under ‘Join Site’}.
*Ideas are posted daily!*
Also – – I am MORE than flattered when others
‘replicate’ my ideas and come up with their
‘own’ tags. I just
PLEASE ask that you give credit where credit
is due when posting, and please link back to
this original post. xoxo
Happy Visiting Teaching!

"Lettuce" for me on the last day of the month! Love them both! Thank you for sharing your time and talents!
Anonymous says
I used the Fanta one. It goes well with the sisters I teach.
Unknown says
Marci you are a genius! I will be doing the lettuce one. On the last day of the month …:/
Marci Coombs says
Hey just because I create my tags early, doesn't mean I actually do my VT early! Right there with ya! ๐
K says
I am using both. One of my ladies is diabetic, so she will be getting the salad with the lettuce tag. (She doesn't like gardening either) My other 2 ladies will be getting a 2 liter size bottle of Fanta…on sale at Target for $1.50. The single, small, cold ones were $1.59! Plus, their kids are home since it's Summer so the moms can share. Thanks a bunch!
Marci Coombs says
Perfect! Love both those ideas. Thanks! ๐
Unknown says
I'm using both of them! Thank you for sharing your bright ideas with us, they are brilliant!
Marci Coombs says
Awesome – thanks for letting me know! xoxo

I used both tags to fit the different needs of the sisters I visit teach. I am also going to use the Fanta tag for YW. I truly appreciate your willingness to share your ideas with us. You've saved me more than once! (I'm a new YW leader and a little overwhelmed, so your fresh ideas are a real blessing to me.)Thank You!
Marci Coombs says
Than YOU so much for your kind words. I really appreciate them. xoxo

I am using the "FAN" tag, simply because if I can't catch them at home, it will be something I can leave at their door. Thanks so much!
Marci Coombs says
Awesome – didn't even think of that factor. THANKS! xoxo
Unknown says
Fan one for the youth and lettuce for v.t. Yup. Thanks for the great handouts!
Anonymous says
I love the colors of both, but due to budget restraints, I'll use the lettuce tag-I have some lettuce in my garden right now I can share with my sisters. Thanks!
-Sherry Langfitt
Marci Coombs says
That's PERFECT then! Wish I had fresh lettuce growing in my backyard! ๐
Anonymous says
I am using both! I have one sister who is very into health whom I am using the lettuce one for, and another who loves soda who I will use the Fanta. Thanks for doing this. I love that you had 2 options so I could use them both to suit my very different sisters!
Marci Coombs says
I'm so glad to hear that you can use BOTH! xoxo
sara says
Fanta all the way. Super cute and simple.
Marci Coombs says
Thanks Sara ๐
Connie says
I used the 'Fan' but changed the title to "Our Savior is our biggest fan, He is rooting for us" because I had rootbeer on hand instead of Fanta orange. Thanks for sharing
Marci Coombs says
Perfect. Love it, Connie. xoxo
Unknown says
I'm using the lettuce tag! Thank you!
Marci Coombs says
Thanks Shelby!
Corie Poliahu says
I used the "Fan" one but instead of Fanta, I'm attaching a hand fan, since it's soooo hot! Thank you so much!
Marci Coombs says
I hear ya on the too hot – – – I could use a fan RIGHT now! ๐ xoxo
Tyler and Jessica says
I wasn't sure what to do for this month's message & you have saved me! What a wonderful idea! I will be using the lettuce handout simply because it is the most useful. I love being able to offer my sisters something to make their day better & lighten their load- and a quick dinner side will do just that!
I too would be interested in B&W versions of your handouts that we can print on colored cardstock & mount on scrapbook paper. The ones you make are so beautiful, but I don't have access to color printing & they just don't look nearly as cute when I print them on my B&W laser printer.
Marci Coombs says
Of course Jessica, I've had similar requests, so next month I will offer both color and B&W. Thanks so much for commenting! xoxo
Ginger B says
I went to the store to buy the Fanta, because I was going to go with that one.. but their salads were on sale for just a little bit more than the sodas, so I bought the salad instead! LOL
I did have one question though.. I visit several sisters, and also have to print a lot of things for all of our children, and with my calling.. so I was wondering if it would be possible to have a way to have the option of being able to print your wonderful V.T. printouts each month with or without the colorful backgrounds? That way we could print them as is, or if we are running low on color ink, we could just put in some colored cardstock or just white paper and then glue them onto some patterned cardstock?
I don't know how hard that would be to do, or how much more work it would be for you. I sooooo appreciate all you do each month with this for us! I LOVE being able to give my sisters a fun handout each month!
thank you!!
Marci Coombs says
Yes, Ginger – that is something I will definitely try to provide for next month's message. I've had a few similar requests! Thanks so much for commenting. Glad you can use the handouts ๐
Ginger B says
Thank you!! ๐

Thanks so much for the work you put into the handouts. I love both of them! I printed the Fanta handout. I have 3 of my 4 sisters who are not active and I thought that it was more applicable to them. However I loved the end of the quote by President Uchtdorf, "Let us never lose sight of our Advocate and Redeemer as we walk toward Him, one imperfect step after another." We are all imperfect whether we are "active" or "inactive". Anyway, thanks so much!!!
Marci Coombs says
Love that thought! Thanks for sharing with me ๐
Anonymous says
I will be using the Fanta one as I visit two non-members, two in-actives and only one active member. As two of my sisters have not made any covenants, and the other two will not remember what covenants they made many years ago, the fanta one might get them to thinking more about the Savior. Thank you so much.
Marci Coombs says
Awesome. Thanks for commenting!
Lorri Davis says
I'll be using the salad one! Thank you for the inspiration and help!

Hard choice! But my sisters have younger children that I know would love the sugary sweet soda:) So that's the one I'm using. Thank you so much! Handouts done….piece of cake!
Marci Coombs says
You are VERY welcome ๐ How can you go wrong with sugary soda, right? ๐
Debra says
These are darling ideas. I am using the "Fanta" idea. The Lettuce idea is great for anyone that is diabetic or on a strict diet. I like to do my V.Ting the first week of the month and with these ideas coming out several days before the beginning of July, I had time to get them put together. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
Marci Coombs says
You are very welcome Debra. And very on the ball to get your VT done so early in the month! Love it. xoxo
Shondra says
I printed off the Fanta handout, but I loved them both. Thank you for such super cute handouts!
Marci Coombs says
You are welcome Shondra. Thanks for commenting!
Julaine says
Really, you're gonna make me choose?! I like the Fanta handout for the youth so I will probably be using the Lettuce one, but by the time I do my v.t I might have changed my mind! You really need to live by me so you can help pair my ideas with something cute like this!
Marci Coombs says
Lol Julaine! xoxo

Thank you so much! xoxo

Thanks Cody! xoxo

I will use both. With getting ready to leave for Trek I have the cutest hand fans that would be great for the "fanta" one. I also have a lady with Celiac and her husband is deployed until December to the middle east. So a salad dinner would help her out and be something she can eat. She has 5 children ages 16 months to 12 years. So I have been giving her some help with them once or twice a week. So the free printables you shared for the 4th of July I printed and framed to honor her husband and have something she could put out. So you have helped me twice this week. With getting ready to leave for trek this has been an added blessing for me. Thanks so much for sharing your talents. Your amazing and you will be blessed for helping so many of us. Now if I could find some cute little ideas for my trek family I could get them ready today and be good to go. That's about the last thing I have to do. Thanks again. I hope you ALWAYS know how much your appreciated. XOXOX
Marci Coombs says
Thanks so much Lisa!!! SO glad I can help in any way possible ๐ You are too kind. xoxo
Jaime says
I am using the lettuce tag. Thanks for it! One of my sisters is on a strict no sugar or white flour diet so the lettuce will be better for her, plus I like healthy ideas. (:
Marci Coombs says
Thanks Jaime! It's always nice to have a healthier option….even though most the time I choose the sugar-ed up fattening one ๐ xoxo
Anonymous says
Both are great and creative! I will use the lettuce tag. Thank you So much for getting these out early! ๐
