When I’m sick, unfortuantely I’m usually not able to sleep.
Too achey.
And the glands in my throat have been so swollen I’ve barely been able to move.
{The Good News: I finally think I feel the meds starting to kick in!}
I’ve been contemplating my kids’ Halloween costumes as I lay around.
My kids have ALWAYS been very opinionated {wonder where they get that from?} as to what they want to be for Halloween. Never, have I been able to dress us all up with a ‘theme’ of sorts as a family.
But…so be it.
They’re cute no matter what.
Here’s what’s on tap for this year:

Grant wants to be an ASU football player.
But I’m making him wear their ‘maroon’ jersey because their black youth jerseys run at least $70 a pop!
{No thank you.}
Rub some black paint under his eyes and throw on some cleats and we’ve got this one in the bag.

Carson wants to be Napoleon Dynamite
and I COULD NOT BE MORE EXCITED about this!
We ordered his ‘Vote for Pedro’ shirt and afro wig online today.
We’ve got the glasses and jeans and now just need to scour our
local Goodwill for some black snow boots.
Carson thinks it would be a nice added touch if he were to throw some ‘tots’ outta his trick or treat bag as he went from house to house.
{Not so sure about that one}.
This is an instance of how I WISH my family would do matching themed outfits.
Joe could be Kip.
Grant could be Pedro.
London could be Shy Deb.
Wouldn’t that be the funniest?!
And last…but definitely not least….

London wants to be ‘Lela’.
From Teen Beach Movie, of course.
{Obsessed is putting it lightly for her}.
Here’s the deal on this one.
When she first started saying she wanted to be ‘Lela’….I thought in my mind…”No one is even going to have a clue as to who she is. And they probably don’t even make a ‘Lela’ costume. Afterall, Teen Beach Movie was on last summer. Who even remembers it but my daughter?”
WRONG!!!
Apparently EVERY LITTLE GIRL REMEMBERS IT!
Did you know that this costume is SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE?!?!
ONLINE AND IN STORES!
It’s going for $150 right now on eBay.
FOR REALS!
Who’d have thought?
So now we plan to piece by piece the outfit together.
Wish us luck.
I found some pink denim {not so short} shorts online today.
Still on the lookout for a pink jacket and pink Gogo boots.
ANY IDEAS? ANYONE???

If the pink Gogo boots are just for the one night, you could maybe paint white ones to match. I haven't done it but I think it would be doable, at least for the one night. Good luck!

Good idea Kayla! I'm thinking maybe…spray paint??
