I’ve made this recipe TWICE in the past week…
and I may have eaten about 5 each time I’ve made them.

These sugar cookie bars are SO MUCH easier than the original sugar cookies that you have to roll out and cut into shapes. They’re definitely a time saver and OH SO yummy.
Cream Cheese Pan Sugar Cookie Bars
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1 {8 oz} pacakge cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 3/4 cups flour
Combine butter, cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
Beat in eggs and extracts.
Add dry ingredients and mix until blended.
Spread into a greased and floured jelly roll pan. Spread with a floured knife {I sorta roll it out with a floured glass}.
Bake at 375 for 16-18 minutes.
Frost when completely cool.
Cream Cheese Frosting
1/2 cup butter
4 oz. cream cheese
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
Splash of milk
Cream butter and cream cheese together and until blended. Add powdered sugar, then vanilla and milk. Add a few drops of food coloring for desired color.
