2012’s Neighbor gifts very well could be my FAVORITE.
Of all time.
Homemade Hot Fudge
with A Christmas Story twist
I don’t know what I liked most about these treats:
* The recipe {you could seriously eat it with a spoon!}
* The tags and labels
or
* The fact that I tied one of my very favorite movies of ALL time into it
My friend Michelle from Etsy made the labels and you can order the same exact ones HERE. {Tell her I sent you!}
Unfortunately, the person I ordered the ‘Oh Fudge’ tags with Ralphie’s picture on it – – no longer sells them. BUT…I created some of my own and now am offering them through my Etsy shop HERE.
Want the recipe?
You’re in luck!!
{Tip: If you pour this hot fudge over Dreyer’s Peppermint Ice-cream….you might just taste a bit of heaven.
I promise.}
Marci Coombs’ HOMEMADE HOT FUDGE
1 – 12 oz. bag Semi-Sweet Chocolate chips
2 sticks butter
2 cans of evaporated milk
4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Melt butter and chocolate chips on low heat. Add sugar and
milk. Blend well. Boil then cook 8 minutes, continually
stirring.
Add 1 tsp. vanilla after removing from heat.
It thickens as it sits.
If I remember correctly – – each batch made up about 3 1/2 jars for me. I had to quadruple the batch.
{Tip: Have your mom come over and make one batch at the same time you’re making your batch.
Goes a lot quicker!}

Just curious if you possibly answered the above question privately? Just need to know if you reduce the heat or leave it at a rolling boil. Thanks!
Marci Coombs says
I leave it at a rolling boil for the full 8 minutes! xoxo

This sounds totally DeLisH! I do have a question, however…..what size/ounces is your can of evaporated milk that you use in the recipe?
Marci Coombs says
Hi Marsha! I use the 12 ounce size – -which I believe is what most grocery stores sell so hopefully they'll be easy to find! xoxo
