I’ve been surfing through my OLD blog lately and I’ve realized 2 things. Numero uno: I’m glad I finally made the switch to blogger. And #2: I think it’s time to share some of my very FAVORITE things from the past. So…I’m featuring some oldies but goodies this week. Things I’ve hosted, made or spotlighted from years past.
Up first….last year I hosted a baby shower with my mother in law for Joe’s cute sister Jenny. She was pregnant with A GIRL! It was A LOT of fun and I can’t believe that sweet baby June will almost be ONE now!
{London and June this past Christmas. To say that London is obsessed with her cousin is….an understatement! Don’t they look cute in their matching Christmas outfits?? BFFs for life.} |
Time sure does fly. Here are some of the party details:
I made this Baby Girl banner out of scrapbook paper and regular old alphabet letters from Hobby Lobby. I painted them with glue and then coated them with silver glitter
My cute mother in law Marilyn and I in front of the spread. |
Brunch was served. My favorite meal of the day! |
The menu included:
If you’ve never tried these French Toast rolls…oh mercy…you are in for a treat. Let me know if you need the recipe!
Drink Station |
Water Bottles embellished with felt stickers from Michaels $ bins. |
As for the favors {because yes…every party needs them..}
At the shower I served my very favorite sugar cookies…my mom’s recipe! I decided it would be fun to give the recipe away. But giving just a recipe away is boring. It needed a little…shall we say….’sprinkle’ to it. So after some research…I found the test tube vials online for 35 cents a piece. Pink sprinkles were purchased on candy.com and the gal who made the invitations also made up these recipes for me. At the top it reads “Thanks for SPRINKLING Jenny with SWEET love at her baby shower!” Wa.Lah! The white frame pictured above was an Ikea find for 97 cents.
