Monday night we held our
Annual Coombs Family Halloween Bash.
My kids really look forward to this
which makes it all the more fun to plan!
{You can see the invitations we sent out HERE.}
I tried to capture lots of the details from the evening…
Place Settings at the Adult Tables.
Gosh, I love Hobby Lobby’s paper plates.
They are MY FAVORITE!
Candy bags are from the Martha Stewart Halloween line.
They’re the perfect size to fit just one mini candy bar inside.
I don’t know why I’m obsessed with place settings and name cards but I just am. And these were SUPER simple.
Mini pumpkin + fake spider + name printed on cardstock.
The kiddie table….
Jack o’ Lantern tablecloth and paper plates from Target.
We had a POISONOUS POTATO BAR that included
bbq chicken and chili as choice of toppings.
Cornbread Coffins with honey butter
Vomit aka spinach dip
Pumpkin Snickerdoodle cupcakes with severed fingers
And lots of spooky sodas to go around.
{Bottle labels from HERE.}
We had everyone come in costume and Joe’s family are really good sports when it comes to this!
It’s always fun to see what everyone comes up with.
I even dressed up this year!
Shocking, I know.
Can you guess what I am???
A DEER in the HEADLIGHTS!
Gotta love a good PUN.
It’s also quite possibly one of the easiest costumes out there.
Even Grandpa dressed up this year as a Sun Devil fan!
Our house was filled with lots of laughter and love that evening and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Details from part 2 … coming tomorrow…….
Games, our Pumpkin Carving Contest and Party Favors!
