2 QUESTIONS FOR MY BLOG READERS:
1. I need BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS.
I’m going on a 12 hour car drive ๐ณ and need a good book or three that makes the time fly by quickly.
Not anything to deep or depressing.
If it’s a true story? Even better!
2. I need yummy RESTAURANT RECOMMENDATIONS {for dinner} in Salt Lake City.
We are heading there for a wedding and are going out with some of our favorite friends to dinner one night. I want something GOOD! Thanks to some blog reader recommendations a few years back – we discovered THE RED IGUANA which we LOVED! We’ve been back twice! Now I’m wanting to try someplace new.
Any ideas?

The Copper Onion is fabulous. There is one called the Copper Kitchen by Taqueria 27 {in Holladay} that is owned by The Copper Onion people. There is a Cupbop now in Draper. Bruges Waffles and pommes frites with the andoulouse dipping sauce. 3 locations, I think.
Yummmmm. You're like the 5th person who has recommended the Copper Onion so I KNOW it must be good. My next trip will involve nothing but eating!!! ๐
I loved "The Rent Collector". We listened to it on a long road trip and it was read with all different voices, very well done. I also recommend "Italian Village" at 5370 South 900 East in Murray (south of SLC). Get a pizza bender, it's a classic, and dipping sauce. It's not a fancy restaurant but it sure is good.
Yum yum YUM! I feel like I need to take a trip to SLC JUST to eat. And shop, haha! I'm reading Orphan Keeper right now and Rent Collector is next on my list! xoxo
The Girl in Cabin 10
Thanks Jennifer – I'll look it up!
Sue Grafton books!!!
I know you are wanting a dinner location but next time you are in UT I recommend Cupbop food truck. Korean BBQ in a cup and so yummy. We are living in South Korea right now but seriously can't wait to go back to UT for Cupbop ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ
Yumalish!!! Thanks Rea Jen!
Femalefoodie.com has never steared me wrong for Salt Lake food recommendations. She also has an Instagram to drool over femalefoodie_slc
Books: Ready Player One, More Than the Tattooed Mormon, the program and I'm a sucker for anything by Rick Riordan.
Ooh – thank you so much for all of this!! Totally adding everything to my list! I feel like I need to make a trip to SLC JUST to shop and eat! ๐
Downton Salt Lake also has a Blue Iguana, might be fun for you to compare it to the Red Iguana ๐
Other Mexican suggestions:
Alamexo
Taqueria 27 {in Holladay}
there is also an awesome food truck park in Holladay right down the street from Taqueria called Soho Food Park
If you are in the mood for Italian:

Copper Onion
Enjoy your trip!
Saint Squad series by Traci Hunter Abramson
Culinary Mystery Series by Josi Kilpack
The Great and Terrible Series by Chris Stewart (might be too deep..and the first book is a little hard to get through, but once you get through that one, the rest make you not want to put them down!)
Love these recommendations. Thanks so much!
Any of the Hannah Swensen Mystery Books with Recipes
Ooh – good to know. Thanks Marilyn!
Jane Eyre. I know it seems intimidating, but DON'T be! It is such a page turner. I gobbled it up in 3 days like it was a Harry Potter book.
Non fiction: All the President's Men, Into Thin Air (might be too tragic), The Power of Habit.
So good to know. Thank you! And I LOVED INto Thin Air. Is that weird? ๐
I loved Liane Moriarty's The Husband's Secret, Big Little Lies, & Truly Madly, Guilty.
Thank you so much for these recommendations! I'm totally adding them to my list! xoxo
