I’m so sorry I’ve been neglecting this little ‘ole blog of mine this week. Between the rush of Etsy orders, Halloween festivities, baking 25 dozen…yes DOZEN sugar cookies and cupcakes and our annual Halloween party….I’ve barely had my head above water this week. I promise to be back NEXT week and back to my normal posting…including a brand NEW Ministering//Friendship tag for the month of November. I’m so sorry I dropped the ball on that this month. Can you forgive me? How about I share a few details from our annual party that we threw earlier this week….then will you forgive me?
I really debated even having our Halloween party this year. With Covid and all….I just wasn’t so sure. However…I have a daughter who LOVES to throw parties just as much as I do. And after some major BEGGING on her end….and then consulting with our friends to make sure they were ok with it….we plugged ahead and did one anyways and I’m SO glad that we did. These friends of ours are like family to us. We’ve known them since before we even had kids and they’ll always hold a special place in our hearts.
So first things first….our family costumes….
London as Cruella Deville. Can you EVEN with this?!?
Me as a Party Animal.
The boys as In and Out workers…their very favorite place to eat
And Joe dressed up as our friend Kirk, an Intel worker. He cracked us all up, as usual.
The night of our party just so happened to be my dear friend Rebecca’s 40th birthday and you KNOW I love another excuse to add to the fun….so it was basically a Hallowen/Birthday party for our girl.
We served soups and bread bowls, had salad and appetizers and mummy hot dogs and chips and guac and of course, I forgot to take a pic of all of that.
We laughed hard and we ate A LOT! Two things we do the very best when we all get together.
Needless to say….I’m so glad I gave in and had the party. We had a blast!
