Day 6 in Utah was our very last day at the cabin. Time always seems to fly when we’re up there and truth be told, I could easily spend 2 months over the summer in Duck Creek and be perfectly happy. Maybe some day.
Londy painted more rocks to hide…
Grant hiked Cascade Falls with my sis and her fam…
I typed up more of my Grandpa’s letters…
And Joe and Carson rented a canoe and went fishing!
Joe’s tried fishing a couple of times before with the boys and never had much luck. {Think – hook getting stuck in Carson’s back…..catching nothing…..tears…..crying…..fishing line tangled….} Not this time though!!!
Carson caught his very first fish EVER and came back to the cabin BEAMING!!!
They even gutted it and fried it up for a mid afternoon snack. They said it was delish! {It totally grossed me out but whatever. They were excited so I was excited!}
That night, Joe, London and I drove down the mountain to meet some of our dearest friends for dinner in Cedar City.
We always have SO much fun when we get together with the Spevak’s. We always leave after getting together with them…wishing that we lived much, much closer to each other.
Shon and I’s parents were BFFs in highschool, got married around the same time, lived close to each other when they were newlyweds and the rest is history. We love our Spevak’s!!
