On Friday I took Grant into the eye doctor to get contacts…
I seemed to have forgotten just how hard it is to learn how to put contacts in, haha.
After about 2 hours of trying, failing and trying again…..HE DID IT!! And thankfully so because they wouldn’t let us go home with the contacts until he was able to do it! He’s picked it up like a pro now and he looks about 2 years older without his glasses now. Sigh.
Friday night the boys had a virtual church camp via Zoom and they got to listen to the head BYU football coach speak….
While I’m sure, being outdoors in the mountains would’ve been much more appealing…they really enjoyed this and LOVED their speaker. Part of their ‘camp’ was for each of their parents to plan a special dinner with each individual boy. So Joe took Grant out on Friday night and I took Carson….
I really do love one on one time with my kids.
Note to locals: The Moreno’s on Gilbert and Germann has changed their setup and I didn’t love it. They’ve also raised their prices. PLUS….you have to pay for extra chips now. And the bean dip. First Corona, now this?! LoL.
On Saturday I worked on some new goodies for my Etsy shop….
Yes, Christmas stuff!!!! Can you even believe it? Truth be told, once we get back from our summer vacay, Christmas stuff comes at me full force and so I’ve vowed to be more prepared this year!!
London had a sweet little friend over to play that she hasn’t seen in at least 2 years. It’s so fun to see kids just pick up right where they left off! We got treats at Bahama Bucks…
And then I made a super EASY, super DELISH dinner for the fam on Saturday night.
I’ll be sharing this recipe SOON! It’s perfect for summer!!
Home church on Sunday. I know some people are itching to get back to our actual church building, but I however, am not. I still cherish these home Sacrament meetings with all of my heart. There is something so sweet about it when the 5 of us are all in our family room and there are no distractions. We focus on the Savior and the things that matter most in life and I sure pray that these lessons carry on with my kids as they grow older.
Joe took the kids to his parent’s house on Sunday afternoon for a visit while I stayed home {the house was quiet and blissful, LoL!}. Joe’s mom taught London how to knit and she is GIDDY with this new found hobby….
She picks things up so dang fast and knitted up this bow within a couple of hours.
