This weekend was just what we’ve all been needing. A change of scenery with cooler temps.
We packed up the car on Friday night and drove up to Snowflake, AZ.
One of Joe’s co-workers owns a place there and was kind enough to let us come and stay. I’m so glad we did.
On Saturday, Joe and the boys went golfing…
While London and I stayed at the house and did puzzles…
And walked to the Family Dollar. {Why oh why does EVERY small town have a Family Dollar? Have you ever noticed that? We think it’s funny. What’s not funny? That everything is NOT a dollar. Come on!!}
Only at places like the Family Dollar can you find…
Poop lollipops and glow poop wands.
London treated me to a henna tattoo….
And Saturday night we went out to what might just be my new favorite mexican restaurant!
I mean…how could we not love it…their motto is this:
They even made Joe’s chile poblano into a mouse! Skills!!
On Sunday we did more puzzles and games. I taught my kids how to play checkers {how did they not already know this?!} and I don’t mean to brag but I sorta dominate at that game…
We drove over to the Snowflake temple to walk around…
We played games on the front porch and even ate dinner outside! It was glorious.
We discovered a new family favorite board game, too. {Thank you Goodwill.}
Have you ever played it?? It’s super easy, gets pretty loud and we LOVED it. Just like we loved the whole entire weekend!!
